We always knew Dr. Ross had great vision, but who knew he'd take to fatherhood with such style (and so little sleep)? 😴

Remember that we see babies as young as six months old!

Even though babies can't tell you if they're having trouble seeing, their vision is developing rapidly in the first year of life — and an eye exam at 6 months can catch problems early while their eyes and brain are still highly adaptable.

Protect your eyes from harmful UV rays with a pair of sunglasses! Without protection the sun’s UV rays can cause serious and potentially irreversible damage to our eyes, including cataracts, macula degeneration, and even eye cancer.

Have you heard of Eye Mites? Yes it’s a thing… like bed bugs but these live between your lashes.
They are harmless but left untreated can lead to dry eye disease and blepharitis. If you have too many they can cause infection that irritates the skin.
They come out at night and feast on dead skin cells before retreating to their hiding spots to lay eggs! Do you wake up with crusty’s in the corner of your eyes? That is actually mite p**p. (Yes you read that correct)

Symptoms : Rough skin, scaly,flaky or itchy skin. Redness or rashes. Skin sensitivity or burning.

If your eyes are affected, you could notice Blepharitis, itchiness and loss of eyelashes.

They CAN be beneficial because they remove dead skin cells and extra oil on your skin. As long as they are kept under control, you are unlikeky to have any problems BUT if you do require treatment our office can help you get rid of them and keep them under control!

For the month of March we are offering walk in Wednesday’s and Thursday’s where one of our technicians can look under a slit lamp at your lash line to determine if treatment is required. We can do the treatment the same day! It’s a very quick easy and painless treatment to remove the mites and provide you with the product that will kill the eggs. Just a reminder that my workplace is having our 10th anniversary on Wednesday, May 15! I can’t believe Eye Spy is turning 10 🎉 and I have been there since day one.. 🥰
We will be having cake, coffee as well as giveaways throughout the day and a chance to spin the wheel to win a prize! There will be draws for frames and promotions on lenses.

We are pleased to announce we will be bringing the Etnia Barcelona line of frames which are made in Spain and known for their colours and unique designs. The entire line will be displayed in the office and all frames are 40% off.
