We have some fun events coming up with the SOS team! Come join us by registering here https://recoverycollegecalgary.ca/course/the-sos-survivors-of-su***de-community-care-sessions/

SOS events provide participants with additional opportunities for connection, community, and wellness outside of regular session programming.

These offerings are designed to create supportive, low-barrier spaces where participants can engage with one another through shared experiences, meaningful conversation, creative exploration, movement, and grounding activities.

Thinking about attending an SOS Community Care session but feeling unsure about what to expect?

Watch this video as our SOS team walks you through what a session looks like and how peer support can help you connect with others who understand.

SOS Community Care sessions is a peer-led program for individuals who have struggled with su***de personally or have experienced su***de loss. You don't have to navigate it alone. 💙

For questions about the SOS sessions, help with registration, questions or to connect with a team member who has lived experience with su***de, please email our team at survivorsofsu***de@cmha.calgary.ab.ca

Work can look different for everyone, and that’s okay.

Join this supportive workshop led by CBI Health to explore employment options that fit your current health, abilities, and circumstances. Together, we’ll focus on what is possible right now and explore practical, realistic ways to move forward with confidence.

In this session, you’ll:
- Explore what sustainable work can look like
- Learn about different types of capacity and workplace flexibility
- Build confidence talking about employment gaps, injuries, or limitations
- Shift the mindset from “What can’t I do?” to “What can I do right now?”

This is a supportive space to reflect, learn, and take meaningful next steps at your own pace.

Connection does not have to be a grand gesture. It can be as simple as saying hello to someone new, reconnecting over coffee, or making time to truly listen. Sometimes the smallest moments help us feel less alone.

This Mental Health Month, we’re reminding Calgary that connection matters. When we come together, we help create a community where people feel seen, supported, and not alone.

Your donation helps create more opportunities for connection through free mental health programs, peer support, and community spaces right here in Calgary. Donate today at https://secure.cmha.calgary.ab.ca/form/come-together-calgary
