March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛

I’ve put together some of my favourite grocery staples that support endometriosis management from anti-inflammatory foods, gut friendly picks, foods to support regular bowel movements (IYKYK ), and steady energy.

Did you know most people don’t hit their daily fibre target?

Fibre helps:
- support a healthy gut microbiome
- support regular bowel movements
- manage cholesterol levels
- support blood sugar regulation

Swipe for simple fibre swaps ideas to boost your fibre intake…

And this doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy ice cream or sweets just as they are (they’re important for the soul too 🍦). It’s about adding more fibre most of the time, small changes add up.

2025 has been a whirlwind, and I feel so lucky for another year of getting to do work I’m so passionate about 💛

During the first half of the year, I officially became a Canadian RD and joined the Canmore community as a women’s health dietitian. In the second half, I also joined an incredible team of community dietitians. While I’ve never been busier across both women’s health and community dietetics, I have loved this new chapter.

Outside of work, I’ve been grateful to do some stunning hikes and celebrate another white Christmas with some yummy food (swipe for photos 😋)

To my clients and everyone who has supported Nula Nutrition thank you for letting me be a part of your health journey. It’s an honour I never take lightly 🫶

Wishing everyone a wonderful 2026 ✨

Did you know your gut health can change during perimenopause and menopause?
⠀
Shifts in oestrogen and progesterone don’t just affect your cycle, they also influence digestion, microbiome diversity, and gut sensitivity. This can lead to bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, or a sudden change in how your gut feels and functions.

But here’s the good news, there’s a lot you can do to support your gut health during this transition:

🌿 Eat 30+ different plant foods weekly
🥦 Include prebiotic-rich foods to feed beneficial gut bacteria
🐟 Add omega-3 fats for gut support
☀️ Get enough vitamin D for bone and microbiome health
🫘 Focus on lean proteins to reduce inflammation

🌸 Two of the most common causes of irregular periods I see in practice are PCOS and Hypothalamic Amenorrhoea (HA).

🩺 While they can seem similar at first, the root causes and treatment approaches are very different. This is why getting the right diagnosis with your doctor or medical specialist is so important.

🔎Self-diagnosing can delay progress. Irregular periods can be linked to a range of other conditions, including thyroid dysfunction, perimenopause, and more. So don’t guess, investigate!

🍓Book your dietitian appointment today for personalised lifestyle support and take the next step toward restoring regular periods.

When it comes to PCOS, it’s not always about what to cut out or avoid (boring)!!

Often, a more supportive shift is focusing on what we can add to nourish our bodies, support gut health, and help stabilise blood sugars.

Plate additions like omega-3s, fibre, and fermented foods can be valuable when included as part of a balanced dietary pattern 🍲

I recently had two weeks off exploring more of Canada and the USA with family. During that time, I also found out I’d passed my final Canadian exam, officially upgrading from Temporary Dietitian to Registered Dietitian in Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦✨

The process of transferring my registration from Australia to Canada has been quite the challenge with multiple exams, interviews, written evidence, and detailed competency statements. So finally gaining full registration has been both exciting and a huge relief!

Although it’s been a process, it’s absolutely been worth it to now be working in women’s health and part of such a lovely community here. I’m looking forward to being back in clinic with both my Australian role and my Albertan clients after a little break.

Swipe to see some photos from my recent travels 🌲🐻⛰️

🌸 Perimenopause and Menopause are areas I’ve become passionate about after working with many women who initially didn’t understand the hormonal changes they were experiencing, or realise support was available to help them through it.

🌼 Although navigating this transition can be a challenging time, it’s possible to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life with the right support. Everyone varies by symptoms and the approach they need. Usually nutrition is one piece of the puzzle and other tools such as medication (HRT), stress management and exercise can also be beneficial. These nutrients don’t cover everything, but they are some of the key nutrients to consider.
