Dr. Whidden will be away from the office this Thursday and Friday as he heads to Toronto for the 78th annual Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons conference. Dr. Whidden is part of a panel, sharing his internal processes for critiquing his results to predict optimal surgical outcomes.

Dr. Whidden looks forward to sharing the insight he has gained over the past two decades specializing in cosmetic surgery. Regardless of his success in the cosmetic arena, Dr. Whidden still critically observes his own methods and outcomes regularly. These systematic observations help him to continually fine tune his surgical techniques. As the saying goes: "Stagnation is not the absence of growth; it is the quiet resignation to comfort."

Sharing this beautiful breast augmentation result of Dr. Whidden. This lovely patient wanted to restore lost volume in her breasts after breast feeding two children and losing significant weight. This look was achieved using smooth, full projection 415cc gel implants.

We have a couple of reasons to celebrate this amazing human! Trista is back from her maternity leave and it is also her 10 year anniversary today!

Technically, Trista is Dr. Whidden's "Medical Office Assistant" ~ but a more accurate title would be "Absolute Legend". Trista is loved by our patients and is someone you can always depend on in the office. We missed her terribly while she was away and are thrilled to have her back! Happy 10 year anniversary Trista! We couldn't do it without you. ☺️

Alongside every successful surgeon is an incredible nurse! Amanda just celebrated her 14 year anniversary of working with Dr. Whidden. Not only is she the first person you get to meet with before your consult with Dr. Whidden, she is one of his main surgical, OR nurses. Amanda is exceptional in every role she performs at MTPS and not only do we love and appreciate her, so do all of our patients.
If you've had the pleasure of meeting her, you know exactly what we mean. 🩷 Happy 14 years Amanda!

First ski of the season! Dr. Whidden and his son hit the slopes today in Lake Louise enjoying the last few days of the break. Dr. Whidden will be back in the office this Monday. We hope you all had a restful and wonderful holiday!

This lovely patient of Dr. Whidden is a wonderful example of how a breast lift (mastopexy) can be aesthetically impactful.

By removing the heaviness of the lower pole and placing the ni**le higher, her breasts appear more youthful and proportionate to her body. This also exposed more of her upper torso, giving her a longer and leaner appearance.

A breast lift is a great option for a patient such as this, whose concern is droop and not deflation. For women who also have significant deflation, an implant and lift is another surgical option to explore.

A tummy tuck procedure can be so impactful for our patients. It is not just about the removal of excess, stretched out skin; but also repairing the structures that lie beneath.
During pregnancy, a woman's body stretches the abdominal muscles apart in order to make room for the baby. This can create postpartum diastases and stretched out fascia, which weakens a woman's core.
By repairing these structures, the integrity of the core is improved, leading to less pain and increased core strength. Removing the excess skin can also help women perform core exercises more effectively.
Not to mention .. Dr. Whidden also makes the cutest belly buttons! 😜
