Our Mission
The Christian Doula is committed to inspiring couples to find their personal philosophies surrounding birth and early parenthood. Led by the belief that women are wise and insightful, our knowledgeable, certified and experienced birth professional(s) strive to provide non-judgmental support while catering to your needs and desires. Some of the services I provide are as follows:
Befo
re childbirth:
Meet with the Mother during her second or third trimester to get acquainted
Teach her relaxation and breathing skills
Answer her questions about the birthing process
Help her understand labor and delivery procedures and possible complications
Help her develop a birth plan
During labor, the doula will:
Stay with her constantly to provide comfort and support
Use massage and touch to help her relax and rest

Help her get into comfortable positions
Help her get adequate nutrition and fluids
Help communicate her preferences to the medical staff
Involve and reassure the dad-to-be
After delivery, a doula can:
Provide support and encouragement to both mom and dad after bringing their baby home
Teach both of the parents how to care for their new baby
Assist with breastfeeding education
Placenta encapsulation to prevent post partum depression
Support dad and other siblings and teach them how to help the mother
Make sure the Mother gets plenty of rest, eats regularly, stays hydrated, and is comfortable.
