I love when people are ready to make a change as they make the best clients who get the fastest results.
No one truly changes unless they genuinely want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you plead until your voice shakes. Not if you shame them and try to make them feel guilty. Not even if you try to reach their heart with reason, emotion, or tough love. Because the truth is this: lasting change doesn’t come from the outside, it comes from the inside.
You can love someone, guide them, and even sacrifice parts of yourself hoping they’ll see what you see. You can point out the better road, warn them about the pain ahead, or show them how different their life could be. But until they come to that moment of realization for themselves, nothing you say or do will stick.
Change happens when the weight of staying the same becomes heavier than the fear of change. It happens when someone wakes up and says, “Enough. I can’t keep living like this.” That’s when transformation begins, when the desire to grow, heal, or improve finally comes from within them, not from the pressure of others.
And there’s only one time it will happen: when they decide they are ready. Not when you’re ready. Not when you’ve run out of patience. Not when the world tells them it’s time. Only when their heart and mind align with the decision.
So instead of exhausting yourself trying to pull people into the future you see for them, focus on your own journey. Lead by example. Live your truth. Grow in your own lane. Because sometimes, the most powerful influence isn’t in pushing someone to change, it’s in showing them what’s possible when you change.
Be the light, not the force. Be the reminder, not the pressure. And when they are ready, they’ll take that step. Until then, love them where they are, but protect your peace along the way.
