My name is Brandy Tessier. I am a DONA certified birth doula, trained childbirth educator, and an executive member of the Calgary Doula Association. My doula journey began after having delivered my own children with the support of a doula. The support my husband and I received, and the beautiful memories created has since fueled my passion to support other women and their partners through the amaz

ing journey of childbirth. I'm often asked... What IS a doula? As a birth doula, I provide emotional and physical support to a birthing woman and her partner. I can provide reassurance and assist with relaxation, massage, positioning and other comfort techniques during labour. What a doula is NOT...
I do not perform medical tasks or medical give advice. I do not make decisions or advocate on your behalf. I am an independent birthing support person, working for the birthing mother and her partner.
