Connecting & Connected with Clay Conference
What a terrific event and what a great time we had last weekend at Madingley Hall, Cambridge. Well done to the Conference Team!

The presenters amazed the delegates in terms of how & where they are working with clay to support folk with their well-being & our delegates have been hugely complimentary with their feedback.

I send my gratitude and love to everyone who contributed in making this a wonderful 2-day event. ❤️

CLAY THERAPY TRAINING 2025-2026 came to a very beautiful close this afternoon. Today was so apt being International Women's Day as we worked with the Mother of all Senses - Touch shaping Mother Earth - Clay.

I love teaching this course since the power of clay can profoundly shape us into a more authentic human being enabling us to live closer to our true nature.

2026-2027 Clay Therapy training begins early June & there are 3 remaining places.

CONNECTING & CONNECTED WITH CLAY CONFERENCE APRIL 17TH & 18TH, CAMBRIDGE.
EARLY BIRD TICKETS END IN 9 DAYS TIME!

In the keynote presentation I'll be speaking about Helen Greaves who lived to be 100, but when born in 1919 was considered to be MD (Mentally Deficient) by many!

This is a golden opportunity to hear about & view Helen's clay sculptures including the one in this post, titled 'Resurrection'. Helen turned to clay to steady and calm herself through turbulent times when the therapy she was in did not support her emotionally!

Helen's family has very kindly passed her sculptures into my safe keeping to be used as examples when I deliver Clay Therapy training.

Additionally, we have 2 full days during the conference showcasing how clay powerfully supports emotional well-being for ourselves & others.

Great Boxing Day event watching Dancers, and loved seeing, my son Samuel and granddaughter taking part - huge fun and hilarity!

Where did the last year go!?
I'm starting my three week break & I'm so looking forward to lazy mornings and later nights, to long dog walks amongst the fields & trees, to tidying my desk when I feel like it, & taking plenty of time to watch the sun setting each day - the simple things in life!

And above all I'm looking forward to family conversations about time, past and present, and to catching up with friends talking about things that matter - peace, the world and our health.

I hope you too can have time over the festive break with folk that matter to you, and time to do just as you please, even if it is just a few minutes each day!

I'm writing this text just as the glorious sun dips behind the trees, and I so want to watch this scene for it is always a fascinating time of the day to me.
Finally, I wish you the very best for 2026 when it arrives!

A Winter Away Day With Clay, organised by the Clay Therapy & Clay Conversations Community.

Fabulous turn out on a very wet, winters day. A great time to catch up with each other from the Clay Community to swap news, share stories, sculpt Clay and eat cake!

Working as therapists we so need Community gatherings!

Blue Smile Workshop last week, Cambridge, UK

Worked with a wonderfully engaged group of children' s therapists last week when delivering a workshop on, 'Working With and Through Metaphors in Play.'

BLUE SMILE is a leading children’s mental health charity in Cambridgeshire and during the past 15 years that they have been up and running, I've had the privilege of being invited to deliver a number of training events - thank you Ble Smile!

The theme of Metaphors was especially asked for this time and I so enjoyed preparing this training because Metaphors is a central concept in both clay and sandplay therapies which are my main specialist fields.

SLOVENIA CLAY COURSE, working with Adolescents and children closed yesterday. The warm-hearted group engaged in this intense experience beautifully.

Thank you to the therapists and therapeutic practitioners who took part for we are all affected by the sense of togetherness and belonging working with clay and nature.
