Common causes of hair loss include nutrient deficiencies like Iron and vitamin D, thyroid issues and hormonal imbalances specifically related to an excess in androgens.

If you are noticing clumps coming out everytime you shower or more hair on the pillow after sleeping, it is important to get assessed with the right labs and treated accordingly.

Did you know: Naturopathic doctors are important members of the team of healthcare professionals and serve thousands of Canadians.

They must complete an undergraduate degree followed by 4 years of naturopathic medical training at an accredited school of naturopathic medicine, pass North American standardized exams, and meet continuing medical education requirements on an ongoing basis.

Like all health professionals, practicing naturopathic doctors are governed by regulatory colleges in the provinces that regulate practice and are expected to abide by all relevant practice standards. In many provinces, NDs are regulated under the same legislation as other trusted healthcare practitioners, like MDs, dentists and nurses.

I used to google this ALL THE TIME.
I know what it feels like to miss school, work or fun activities because you’re in too much pain. I know what it feels like to be laying in the fetal position with a heating pad for hours, waiting for the advil to kick in.

But did you know that this is not normal?
Having menstrual pain that rates a 10/10 is not normal.
Having pain so bad that you might vomit or faint is definitely not something you should just have to live with.

Helping women find Naturopathic options to help treat their menstrual pain, aka dysmenorrhea, is one of the things I’m passionate about.

Happy Monday!!
Today is a great day to set some goals.
What are your health related goals? To sleep better? To eat more nutrient dense foods? To be rid of your pain? To understand your symptoms?

If you don't already know, I am a Naturopathic Doctor and my job is to help you prevent disease and determine the root cause of your symptoms, all while I help you reach your health related goals.

While I see people with any health concern, what I am really passionate about is brain health, women's health, and hormones. All of which are connected BTW!

So I ask you again, what are your health goals? Whatever they may be, I am here for you.
