I've been doing these "Hespeler is Home" videos to highlight local businesses in Hespeler (&/or from people who live here), and this week I want to focus on one of our magazine's long-time sponsors. Happy Wednesday!

I’d like to thank everyone for attending Monday’s networking event. In addition to meeting fellow businesses, I was really happy to put the spotlight on some amazing organizations such as Hope Clothing, the Cambridge Food Bank, the Hespeler Optimist Club as well as the Hespeler Reunion!

As such, it felt only fitting to put the spotlight on the local business that has been helping facilitating these gatherings, Homewood Suites.

One of my personal goals and ambitions here in Hespeler, is to bring people together and help local businesses. The magazine wouldn’t exist without our sponsors, and our business community is a great one to interact with. Although we can shop elsewhere, it is nice to keep the money here and .

So in addition to the magazine, my Hespeler is Home business videos, and the networking I’m involved in locally in the region, THIS recurring event is just for the Hespeler business community.

Monday will be the 11th time I’ve done it, and even though prizes will be there (which I have a lot of), it is just great for us all to meet each other and rub shoulders with one another.

Happy June, Hespeler!

I’ve heard from Roger that many of you have already received the June Father’s Day edition of the magazine — and I’m really excited about that!

Roger has done so much for our community. While we could only scratch the surface in this issue, I believe he’s a great role model and someone we can all be proud to celebrate.

A quick note: You might notice there’s no Pet Corner this month. We had four great submissions ready to go, but somewhere in the design process, it got left out — and unfortunately, Michelle and I missed it during final approval. Our apologies for the slip-up!

Enjoy the warmer weather — it finally feels safe to say the snow is behind us.
