My new home office!!!! I look super tired hahaha. It’s ok dogs look cute. Lots of stuff from my home town, Aomori Japan❤️

昨夜、最近引っ越した自宅のホームオフィスで持ち帰りの仕事をしてたんですが、夫が犬と一緒に写真撮ってくれたんですね。カナダん住んでいるんで結構頑張ってここまで和室にしてめっちゃお気に入りなんですよ。
ただ、私がめっちゃどスッピンで寝巻きでめっちゃ疲れてるww 確かに疲れてたしな。
犬達が可愛いのでいいか。

津軽人なのでねぶたと棟方志功マストで。
妹が睦香という名で絵師をしてるので、彼女の絵も飾ってますよ(犬の後ろ)。あと、亀ヶ岡遺跡の遮光器土偶のシャコちゃんもいます。青森といえば、夫のtシャツも青森のバーのtシャツですね。

My husband’s Tshirt collection has become a bit overwhelming and some of them had holes and not really wearable (in my eyes). So I gave them to one of my lovely patients and she turned those into this beautiful quilt. Isn’t it amazing? Simply gorgeous? Fabulous?
旦那のtシャツ溢れんばかりになってたので、ヨレヨレで着られないけど、捨てがたいtシャツをまとめてパッチワークキルトの毛布にしてもらいました。カッコいいですよね！！！テンション上がりますー！

Had an End-of-the-Year lunch with my assistant at Langdon Hall. This is me thinking “wow that’s ….. tiny ….. whatever this is…” The truffle soup was amazing. Apparently it’s inspired by the Chef’s signature dish: Truffle Risotto, which was one of Queen’s favourite….. it was super rich soup… Queen must have had an iron gut. Everything was delicious, just tiny. Can I have a refill please? I’m super grateful to my assistant. Thank you thank you thank you. 忘年会ですよ。今年から来て頂いてるアシスタントさんとLangdon Hall というカナダのトップ15に入るホテルにランチに来ました。全てが美味しく、そして小さかったですよ。料理が小さくてびっくりしてる私の写真を見てみて。一口で行けそうでしょw これを大事に大事に6つくらいに分けて食べました、ちょびちょびと。酒呑みのアテかよw このトリュフのスープは女王にも献上されたとかなんとか。こんな美味しいけどリッチで濃くてしょっぱいスープ、女王召し上がったの？胃が強いのかな。もたれるぜー。アシスタントさんが来て頂く日はほんと助かってますよ。2人でどん兵衛がいかに美味しいか語りながらこのフレンチのコースを堪能しました。

2025 camping.
Lots of hiking and good food. Too much of good food.
My friend Marilu’s Turkey dinner, pasta with Bolognese sauce, beef stew, and curry udon noodle soup, breakfast sandwiches, and lots of snacks. Camp fire with sausage. Dogs are kind of enjoying but not as much as we do …. They want to go home … what a diva dogs.
今年もキャンプですよ。カナダでは先週感謝祭だったので患者さんが七面鳥ディナーをくれたのでそれ、ボロネーゼパスタ、ビーフシチュー、そしてカレーうどん。朝はサンドイッチ。そして大量のお菓子ww クッキー焼いたり、色々持ってきました。ツマミもたくさん。今回はいつもより本の冊数は少ないんですがちゃんと本も読みましたよ。ハイキングもたくさんしたし。いい旅行でした。

Sometime I just write my prescription on a card for the patients to get the benefit of the energy.

Back in Canada. But my heart is still
Japan. High school reunion was wild. All the graduates regardless of their age were invited and my coho was the host year. It means we had to organize the event. I am 51st graduates. I was serving for the table for 9th graduates so they are like grandpas. So much food and alcohol flew around everywhere. Had a good catch up with my teachers. Even the one who hit my head with his studios baseball bat. (He said it was with love and I had to give him some look 👀) The bar hopping was going on till 4th bar and we had to leave. Oh my god it was so much fun to see old friends!! 今回の帰省の目的の一つとして同窓会総会があったんですが。今年は私の代が幹事だったので参加してきましたよ。何ヶ月も前から準備してた皆さんお疲れ様です。当日だけの参加でごめんね！でもがんばったよ！お酒もお料理もたくさんお出ししたし。声も出したし。応援団の時旗持ったし。先生方との再会も楽しかったです。お世話になった先生にはすぐわかってもらえましたw そのあと同窓会は4次会まで続きベッロベッロに酔っ払ってしまいましたよ。私大丈夫だったかな？知ってる顔がちらほら、覚えてない顔もたくさんいましたね。脳みそポンコツでごめんね！！ほんと楽しかったよ！！！！

Had some road trip out to Ajigasawa and had a lovely visit at the Sumo Memorial museum where my fav sumo fighter, Mainouni, was featured. (So, he is on Aerosmith’s album back jacket. I didn’t know that) Then went to see this archaeological site that had a civilization 5000-3000 years ago. Super cool human/alien looking dogu cray figure called Shakoki Dogu was found. And the train station near by had a ginormous cray figure on the building!! It was pretty wild. Then had a supper at Bikkuri Donkey Humberg steak restaurant which is not a fancy restaurant but guaranteed tasty lol and they had this robot serving food!!!!!!! That, I didn’t expected that. 今日は大雨の中鯵ヶ沢まで行って来ました。鯵ヶ沢には相撲記念館があり、青森が誇る舞の海の生まれた土地で、彼に関するモノが色々展示されていました。楽しかったです。そして、足を伸ばして亀ヶ岡遺跡まで行きました。私は遮光器土偶が推し土偶なので一度行ってみたかったんです。御本体は今は上野の国立博物館にいらっしゃいますよ。私は小さいのを買いましたw 木造町の駅では引くくらいでかいしゃこちゃんがいました。電車が通ると目が光ります。夕食には人生2回目のびっくりドンキーで。なんとロボットがオーダーを持って来てくれました！びっくりしました。 , , , , , , , , , , , , #青森, #鯵ヶ沢, #ドライブ, #舞の海, #亀ヶ岡遺跡, #遮光器土偶, #しゃこちゃん, #木造駅, , #目が光るし, , #びっくりドンキー, #ロボット, #安定の美味さ❤️

So my legs are like rubber chicken again, throat died, and currently massively hungover. I had such an amazing time last night at Nebuta festival. It’s beautifully wild and crazy. It’s in my blood. When I hear the drum I feel alive. 5th, we watched the Nebuta festival, but on 6th, we joined this wild parade. For 2 hours I screamed, danced around, moshed around, had so much fun. Then went to a bar and had the most delicious beer… which is one after Nebuta festival. Aahhhhh Nebuta. It’s over. So much love and pinch of melancholy here. ねぶた祭り！！！！！！！最高でしたよ！！！！！！跳ねたのは20年ぶりくらい？ちょっと不安でしたが、ねぶたは青森市民の血に流れているので囃子を聞いた瞬間にじゃわめきましたよ。5日はみてるだけでしたが6日は跳ねて来ました。20年ぶりくらいに跳ねたので大丈夫だべかってちょっと心配でしたが、ラッセラーの掛け声と共に青森の血が覚醒し大声で叫びながら2時間跳ねて来ましたよ。後半は大雨でしたw前が見えなくなって、頭からつま先までびしょ濡れになりながら最後まで声を出してのれそれ跳ねて来ました。めっちゃ楽しかったです！！それから呑みに行きフラフラになった1日でしたよ。ほんと青森最高。ねぶた最高。最後に戻り囃子が切なくて、青森の夏が終わりましたよ。ねぶたって98%のじゃわめきと2%の切なさが良いんですよねー。 , , , , #青森, #ねぶた, #青森ねぶた, #跳人, #じゃわめぐ, #のれそれ行くどー, #ラッセラーラセラー, #筋肉痛, #喉死んだ, #今日の青森は筋肉痛ばしいる, #わや呑んだ, #ちゃんと二日酔い

Onomichi was such a cute town with retro vibe everywhere. We took a tram up to the observatory and walk back down. The view!!!! Oh my. I fell in love with this town. The firework festival was also impressive!!! Our hotel had perfect view! Onomichi ramen was amazing. View, friendly people and amazing food. We will be back Onomichi…… May be I need some real estate magazine there lol. 尾道最高。ほんと可愛い。昭和の香りがするレトロ感満載の街で、もう住んじゃおうかなーって思うくらい良かったです。ご飯も美味しいし。人も優しいし。景色いいし。ロープウェイで登った先の展望台から見る尾道はほんと綺麗でしたよ。花火大会もありました。さすが中国地方一を誇る花火大会でしたね。また絶対に戻ってきたいまちでした。むしろ住みたい。ずっと住んでいたい。 , , , , , , ❤️onomichi, #尾道, #尾道ラーメン, #また来るよ, #それにしても暑かった

Had 50km of bike ride from Onomichi to Ohmishima island through Shimanami cycling road. We started 7:00 am to avoid the blast of sun but still it was REALLY hot. We had to stop here and there to take break and hydrate ourself. However the experience was one and only. The view was simply stunning. I’m so glad we did that. Now I feel pain from sun burning and legs feel like rubber chicken. 尾道からしまなみ海道を自転車で50キロ爆走して来ましたよ。当初は今治まで行こうかなって軽く考えてましたが、4つ目の島の大三島で引き返し、3つ目の島の生口島からフェリーで帰って来ました。もうね。暑すぎて。日焼けがひどかったのと、あと、慣れない自転車でオチリが痛かったヨ。それでも50キロはすごくない？私は自分でびっくりでしたよ。でもやってよかったー！！！！景色がやばい。ヤヴァイ！！ほんと気持ちよかったです！ , , , , , , , , #広島, #尾道, #しまなみ海道, #しまなみサイクリング, #疲れた, #日焼けした, , #お尻痛い

Hiroshima: Itsukushima Shrine at Miya Island. We took a small ferry out to this iconic island to see the red Shinto gate. It was pretty magnificent and majestic. There were tons of wild deers around and they were very friendly and seem to enjoy interaction with human. These deers are pretty attached to the idea of getting fed by human, though it’s banned. It was super beautiful. I wish we could stay there for longer time. But we had to run back to the ferry and head to Fukuoka to meet my aunt and uncle. They took us out for a dinner at this amazing outside street restaurant. Oh the food was amazing. (It’s 10 times more amazing than what you are imagining now.) 岡山に3泊しますが、今日は遠出をして広島まで来ました。ずっと来たかった厳島神社ですよ。天気にも恵まれとても壮大で綺麗でした。聞いていた通り鹿がたくさんいました。野生ですがとても人に慣れていていました。もっとゆっくり時間を取ればよかったのですが、2時間ほど観光して本土に戻りそこからさらに足を伸ばして福岡に来ました。叔母と叔父に会いに来ました。夕食には福岡の中洲の屋台でたくさんの美味しいご飯をいただきました。明太子おいしかったー。やっぱ日本すごい。美味しいものしかない。日本最高。　 , , , , , , , , , , , , #広島, #厳島神社, #壮大, #お天気良かった, #福岡, #博多, #屋台, #美味しいしかない, #日本最高,
