Natural does not mean “easy”

Breastfeeding is a STEEP learning curve but the key word there is “learning”. You and your baby will get the hang of it as you practice BUT you need to know some things ahead of time

〰️Like how to tell if they’re getting enough
〰️How to support your body and their body (physically) to get a comfy latch
〰️How may times a day they’re going to want to nurse
〰️ What to do if they don’t latch (or it’s painful)
〰️ How and when to get help

Plus a few more things 😉 and you don’t really learn all of that while in the hospital

Plus figuring this all out on the go after birth quite honestly feels like a 💩 show…

SO, that’s why I teach all of this and more inside my prenatal breastfeeding course, The Breastfeeding Before Baby Program

‼️The course needs to be moved to a new online home and because of that, I’m offering 50% off until March 31st - gives you a ton of time to go through the course

Use code BYE4NOW at checkout and share it with as many people as you want!

Your body goes through the largest hormonal shift it will ever experience when you transition from pregnant to postpartum

And when you’re postpartum, your body systems are still working hard to repair your tissues, create milk from your bloodstream and keep you functioning on broken sleep

Your adrenals might be feeling overwhelmed, your thyroid might need some support and if you’re exclusively breastfeeding, you might not even have a period for up to two years!

These are ALL big changes and fertility doesn’t work in isolation. It’s a reflection of all your body’s systems — how nourished you are, how rested you are, how stressed you are and how supported your body feels as a whole

So if TTC again after having a baby has been feeling challenging, know you’re not alone

And I wrote this blog post for you 👇🏻

If trying for baby number 2 or 3 is starting to feel more difficult than you thought, please know you’re not alone ❤️

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and mothering demand a lot from our bodies and because of this, things can be different the next time around

These are just a *few* of the things I would begin to prioritize if you’ve been TTC or are getting ready to

This is not a medical protocol (as I’m not a medical professional) BUT it works because when your body feels:

🤍 Nourished
🤍 Rested
🤍 Regulated
🤍 Supported

It is far more likely to ovulate regularly, produce quality eggs and sustain a pregnancy.

I wrote the Fertility Foundations Guide to help you create that internal environment, gently and sustainably

Way too many women don’t know enough about their own bodies

I’ve spent the last 5 years working exclusively with women (very closely I may add) at one of the most fragile and vulnerable times in their life

And I have had extensive conversations with these women where phrases like:

〰️ “Why hasn’t anyone taught me this?!”
〰️ “How come my doctor didn’t tell me that could happen?”
〰️ “How come they’re not teaching this to me sooner?!”
〰️ “Oh my gosh, I had no idea!”

Are said to me all 👏🏻 the 👏🏻 time 👏🏻

Because a lot of these women are learning things about their bodies for the very first time and they’re in their 30s 🤯

But it’s not their fault

Our society likes to keep women’s “issues” quiet — almost as if it’s somehow taboo to talk about periods, fertility, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, hormones, and mental health

That it’s something we’re supposed to keep to ourselves about or talk about behind closed doors…

I’ve never been one to shy away from openly talking about women’s health (like discussing breasts and lactation for 5 years 🙃)

And one thing I keep circling back to is that I need to get this essential education to women sooner - before I’m sitting in their living room talking them through a painful latch and pump schedule

Before they’re pregnant…

Before they’ve even conceived…

So they can understand how their day to day habits affect their hormones, nervous system and nutrition and how all 3 of these impact their fertility and future pregnancies

Because when you understand your body and know how it’s affected by a lack of sleep, poor nutrition, high stress and anxiety — you can build a solid foundation that will support you through pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood before you even get there

I’m combining my 10+ years as a nutritionist with my 5+ years in women’s health (3 of those specifically in postpartum and lactation) to bring you fertility coaching

If you’re ready to feel more connected to your body and in control of your future fertility, comment “me” and I’ll send you a message with more info about what working with me looks like

You’re not alone if getting pregnant again is feeling difficult.

If it’s been a few years since you last had a baby and you’ve been trying to get pregnant for several months (or years) this is your sign that there could be something deeper going on.

First I want you to know that your body is not broken. I know how easy it is to blame yourself.

But here’s the thing, after you’ve had a baby, your body changes and it can affect your fertility.

Fertility is about how supported your body feels every 👏🏻 single 👏🏻 day of the month
