From the Social Work team:
Self-affirmations and expressing gratitude to ourselves can be a good reminder to ourselves of the things that we are doing well and things that we are grateful for in our lives. Sometimes, we can get into a negative mindset when there are stressors that impact how we feel, but being able to focus on what we have control over can help change our mindset into an overall more positive one as inner dialogue impacts our physical and mental health.
This can feel like a big goal, but if we take small steps towards making this change it can have positive impacts on our stress levels and improving health-related behaviours such as eating and exercise.
