Big things ahead at Langs!

We’re proud to share our Strategic Plan for 2026–2031—a roadmap shaped by our community, our partners, and the incredible work happening across our teams every day.

This plan reflects where we’re going and how we’ll get there, with a clear focus on:
Reducing barriers to access
Emphasizing early intervention
Enhancing capacity and sustainability

Grounded in our vision of Changed lives, healthy communities, this strategy will guide how we continue to grow, adapt, and respond to the evolving needs of the people we serve.

Together, we’re building stronger, more connected communities, now and into the future.

At Cataract Central Intake (delivered through the Waterloo Wellington Regional Coordination Centre and hosted by Langs), we see every day how coordinated, community-based care improves lives.

This latest work to reduce cataract surgery wait times shows the power of collaboration. Connecting people to the care they need, when they need it.

Together, we’re building a stronger, more responsive health system.

From the Langs Social Work Team: In Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee traditions, spring is connected to the East, symbolizing new beginnings, birth/rebirth, vision and clarity, hope, possibility, and growth. The Medicine Wheel represents four directions (East, South, West, North); four seasons; and four aspects of self (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual).

Notice growth in spring in your four aspects of self:
Mental – spring invites new ideas and reframing old thoughts.
Emotional – after the heaviness of winter, letting go and allowing hope back in our lives.
Physical – the land is waking up, and so is the body. If you can, enjoy walks outside, gentle movement, and spending time in the sunlight.
Spiritual – recognizing connection to the land and our loved ones, finding gratitude for seasonal change, spending quiet time with nature.
