Hi, My name is Jennie and I am a mother of three children who feed into my love of coffee. I enjoy walking, biking, hockey, popcorn with peanut M and Ms, watching Netflix, practicing Yoga and Pilates and learning all I can about movement, the human body and our amazing brains. I am also a lover of gluten free baked goods, music and SLEEP!
Professionally, I am the creator of the Neuroscience Pilates System, which combines Pilates and functional neurology to improve movement and minimize pain. I have completed training and certifications in: Pilates, Yoga, Pre/Postnatal Fitness, Core and Pelvic Health, Functional Neurology, Pain Modulation and Foot Health. I am also a Level 2 Reiki Practitioner. I am located in Hespeler, Cambridge
I have lived a life a chronic pain and have identified with the feeling of being broken. It was the belief that I was not meant to enjoy life, that there would always be limitations out of my control that held me back from living life to the fullest and in fear of more pain. I have always been intrigued by the human body and all the amazingness we truly are. It was this interest that led me to start studying anatomy, biomechanics and most recently functional neurology and pain science. I studied these areas completely out of interest and a desire to create a movement practice where I could help others, not realizing how much the education would be helpful for me. I have learned we do not have to live in pain, and many of the limitations we believe we have, are false limitations we have created due to everything we have experienced. Non of us are broken and we are all capable of growth and change. We are all so much stronger, capable and resilient than we often recognize. We are not static and by using the power of neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain to change) and the absolute strength of our bodies, we can minimize pain and optimize our daily or athletic performance. I absolutely love what I do and although I love every aspect of my job, my favourite part is seeing the "aha" moments when clients really start to see change and recognize their movement potential, allowing them a sense of freedom to live the life they want. My practice is inspired by the following quote:
"There is more to us than we know. If we can be made to see it, perhaps for the rest of our lives we will be unwilling to settle for anything less". Kurt Hahn.

If you want to lift heavier, run faster, move with less stiffness or get out of pain, your brain has to allow it. The brain is boss. The brain has to feel safe to allow these changes to happen. We cannot forget about the brain when we are working to improve our health and fitness.

My name is Jennie Szwedo. I am a Pre and Postnatal Pilates Trainer, Barefoot training Specialist, Core and Pelvic Floor Training Specialist and a mother of 3. As a woman, mother and really just a human being, I know how hard life can be on our bodies, leading to pain, imbalances and dysfunctions. We may experience urinary incontinence, diastasis recti, hip, pelvic and back pain or plantar fasciitis to name a few. The thing with any of these not so pleasant experiences is that they do not exist in a vacuum. Everything is connected. Could plantar fasciitis be connected to imbalances within the core? It sure could be. Weakness or dysfunction in one area often travels to others. The “problem area” isn’t always the “problem area”. Because of this interconnectedness and the demands our bodies face throughout our lifetime, I created Corefidence. Corefidence is functional core and pelvic floor training from the ground up. All Corefidence classes take an entire body approach (big toe to top of head) to maintaining/obtaining the integrity of the core and pelvic floor. This allows us to move better and with more efficiency, function and balance. It allows us to feel stronger, more stable and corefident. When we are corefident we are confident that our bodies can withstand the forces, demands and impacts we place on them on a regular or not so regular basis. We can do the activities we love to do with little worry of injury, aches, pains, long term damages and/or unpleasant symptoms we may have accepted as normal such as incontinence. We all have the potential for Corefidence and I want all women to find their corefident selves.
Classes offered through Corefidence:
Corefidence Level One – Re-awaken, connect to and strengthen your entire body with a special emphasis on the core and pelvic floor. An ideal class for moms (new and more experienced) and anyone experiencing symptoms of core dysfunction such as; urinary incontinence, prolapse, diastasis recti, hip, pelvic or back pain or just a feeling of instability. (Participants must be at least 8 weeks postpartum). Participants will be given access to online exercise tutorials and classes.
Corefidence Level 2 – Continue to strengthen and re-awaken your reflexive core, with more challenging movements and exercises including the use of weights and resistance bands. Modifications and support will be available, but participants should have a solid understanding of alignment and breath, as well as the ability to connect to their deep core muscles. (Pre-requisite Corefidence Level 1) Participants will be given access to online exercise tutorials and classes.
Corefident Bellies - Stay strong, resilient and corefident throughout pregnancy in this Pilates based class. Prepare your body for labour, birth, recovery and motherhood, while meeting other expectant moms and having fun. Participants will be given access to online exercise tutorials and classes.
Corefident Mommies with Babies - Bring your little one(s) to this restorative postpartum class where you will work on re-awakening, connecting to and strengthening your entire body, with a special focus on the core and pelvic floor. Participants must be at least 8 weeks postpartum and been given clearance from their physician to resume physical activity. Participants will be given access to online exercise tutorials and classes.
BARE – The BARE Workout is the only barefoot balance training workout that is uniquely designed to stimulate the neuromuscular system from the ground up while improving balance, posture and strength. Through specific exercises, the BARE Workout will enable you to improve your foot posture, glute/hip strength and total body alignment - leaving you standing taller and walking stronger! By combining the benefits of pilates, yoga and barefoot balance training, the BARE Workout is bringing core training off of the floor! Participants must be at least 12 weeks postpartum. Modifications and support will be available, but participants should have a solid understanding of alignment and breath, as well as the ability to connect to their deep core muscles. It is highly recommended participants complete Corefidence level 1 before participating in this class. Registration includes access to online exercise tutorials and classes.
Personal Sessions - Personal sessions are a great option to target specific concerns, to identify movement blind spots and to ensure proper form and technique. These sessions allow individuals to participate in Corefidence training outside of scheduled class times. Personal sessions are a great on their own or to compliment Corefidence classes. These sessions will include assessments, personalized programming and homework. Participants will also be given access to online video tutorials and mini Corefidence classes (10-15 minutes).
Want the benefits of a personal session, but would rather work out with friend? Then this might be the right choice for you. Buddy sessions are a great option to target specific concerns, to identify movement blind spots and to ensure proper form and technique. These sessions allow individuals to participate in Corefidence training outside of scheduled class times. Buddy sessions are great on their own or to compliment Corefidence classes. These sessions will include assessments, personalized programming and homework. Price is for both participants. Registration includes access to online exercise tutorials and mini classes (10-15 minutes).
