In powerlifting-focused gyms like .kw , squats are a key lift for building strong legs and total body strength, yet discomfort in the knees, hips, or back doesnโ€™t automatically mean you need to stop.

Different squat variations place different demands on your joints. By adjusting your squat style, you can often continue training while reducing stress on irritated areas.

GRSM strength training physiotherapist demonstrates 3 commonly used squat variations and explains how each one shifts load through the body:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Low-bar back squat
๐Ÿ‘‰ High-bar back squat
๐Ÿ‘‰ Front squat

Understanding how each variation loads the body can help you choose an option that supports both recovery and continued strength of progress.

If youโ€™re unsure which squat variation is appropriate for you, a physiotherapist can help guide that decision based on your goals, symptoms, and training demands.

Neck aches and headaches - are they connected? ๐Ÿคจ

Turns out many headaches actually stem from tension or irritation in the neck and shoulders.

Whether itโ€™s a common tension-type headache or a โ€œneck-originatingโ€ cervicogenic headache, posture, stress, or neck strain could be the root.

๐Ÿ’ก The good news: by targeting the neck and shoulder tension through proper movement, posture correction, and with the expert help of chiropractic care, you can often find real relief, not just quick fixes.
