We can’t quite recall who won... but honestly, every soup was a winner because they were all absolutely delicious! 😋

Coming this October, Judy Bergey — our Senior Support Coordinator — is hosting the Sweet Slice Showdown 🍰 between tenants and staff!

👏 Cabinet Campaign Member Highlight: Victoria Wheal 👏

With over 20 years of experience in marketing, Victoria Wheal brings energy, creativity, and strategic insight to the Saint Luke’s Place fundraising team. As the Founder and CEO of unLOCKEd Company, Victoria leads a boutique agency that specializes in simplified, full-service marketing solutions for local businesses and nonprofits across Ontario.

A graduate of Mohawk College’s Advertising and Communications Media program, Victoria’s passion lies in helping organizations tell their stories with clarity and consistency — from logos and signage to social media campaigns and full-scale brand development.

In addition to serving on the Saint Luke’s Place Board of Directors, Victoria is a proud member of the Welcome Home Capital Campaign Cabinet, where she uses her skills to support outreach, donor engagement, and event promotion.

When she’s not developing brand strategies or leading community campaigns, you’ll find her playing baseball, cooking, or cheering on her daughters at their latest endeavours. ⚾️

🎉 Celebrating Years of Dedication ☕👵👴

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Saint Luke’s Place Auxiliary for their many years of service managing the coffee shop and other initiatives on campus. Through their tireless efforts, the Auxiliary not only created a warm and welcoming space for our community, but also generously donated the shop’s revenues back to Saint Luke’s Place to support the care and services for our seniors. 💙🏡

While the Auxiliary has concluded its formal chapter some years ago, many of its members continue to volunteer and support our home in meaningful ways. 🙌 Their legacy of compassion and commitment lives on, and we are deeply thankful for everything they’ve done—and continue to do—for our residents. 🌟
