Happy September to you all. May we continue to elevate our practice together this season.

I’m writing to you from beautiful Budapest, where I have recharged my soul with hugs from family and ringing laughter of childhood friends. Part of me always misses these, and of course.. I’m looking forward to return to our island tomorrow to see you all.

Red Lion Yoga, my little Yoga organization carries its name inspired by my beloved teacher Maria Szepes (1908-2007) whose masterpiece fantasy novel “The Red Lion” has changed millions of lives in its time. The book was written in Hungarian originally, and was later translated into many other languages. It is a story of an ambitious alchemist who finds a way to drink from the elixir of life (the red lion) and so becomes blessed and cursed (!) with eternal life. His body is being born and dies over and over again but his memory remains alive and awake through many lifetimes.…
Following his journey we learn about the evolution of the soul in a human body.

I chose this name to remind myself every day to walk the walk and practice this process consciously. One of the many names of this process is: Yoga. Union.

I’m looking forward to dive deeper into Yoga philosophy with you all starting January 2026. Time and place for our sharing and meditation circles will be announced soon. Stay tuned.
