It’s veterinary assistant week!
Our veterinary assistants, also knows as animal care aides (or ACA’s)- are a vital part of the animal world and a vital part of our everyday here at Coastland Vet. Their days are filled with tireless tasks—feeding, cleaning, monitoring, comforting, and advocating for animals who can’t speak for themselves—yet they do it all with patience, compassion, and unwavering dedication. They build trust with animals who may be scared or hurt, and their gentle presence often brings calm in stressful situations. Whether they’re supporting veterinary teams, ensuring clean and safe environments, or simply offering a kind touch to an anxious pet, animal care aides play a vital role in every step of an animal’s well-being. Their work is demanding, often messy, and emotionally tough—but they show up every day with heart, and that makes them nothing short of amazing.
