Common Foot Concerns:

Plantar Fasciitis:
Inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue along the bottom of the foot, causing pain in the heel and arch.

Bunions:
A bony bump that forms on the joint at the base of the big toe, causing the toe to shift towards the other toes.

Ingrown Toenails:
Occurs when a toenail grows into the surrounding skin, causing pain and inflammation.

Hammertoe:
A condition where the middle joint of a toe bends abnormally, resembling a hammer shape.

Heel Spurs:
Calcium deposits that form on the heel bone often causing pain and stiffness.

Athlete's Foot:
A fungal infection that causes itching, cracking, and scaling between the toes and on the soles of the feet.

Corns and Calluses:
Thickened areas of skin that develop due to pressure or friction, often on the toes or soles of the feet.

Trent Hills Foot Care Clinic is delighted to welcome Eliana Evenaar to our team. She is a skilled nurse with extensive experience, dedicated to delivering high-quality care to her clients.

Eliana is now accepting foot care clients in-clinic and for at-home visits in Trent Hills.

A little bit about Eliana:

"In 1994, I earned certifications in Child Psychology and Day Care Management and ran a successful little daycare as my son was growing up.

In 2000, I became a First aid, CPR and AED instructor, and have thoroughly enjoined teaching the various first aid course. Those skills came in handy over the years as I have assisted many individuals in a variety of emergencies. It was those experiences that fueled my desire in healthcare.

In 2010, I started my career in health care as a PSW. I felt compelled to do more, and became a RPN in 2013. As a nurse, I have worked in a variety of settings from community nursing to working in a Retirement home as a DOC, LTC, Hospital and back into community nursing.

I continued with ongoing education, earning certifications in Palliative Care (CAPCE) and advanced wound care (IIWCC).

Just recently, I earned my certification as an Advanced Foot Care Nurse and joined the Trent Hills Foot Care Clinic. I am looking forward to working with Amanda again and providing excellent foot care to members of our community."
