Have you heard of Peyronie’s Disease? It’s a connective tissue disorder that affects up to 1 in 10 men. Did you know it can often be successfully treated with therapeutic ultrasound (a modality found in most physical therapy clinics)? In this study from 2020, 43 men were treated for Peyronie’s Disease using therapeutic ultrasound for 12 sessions over 4 weeks. There were significant improvements in quality of life and decrease in symptoms for the majority of patients, especially those in the earlier stages of the disease.
