Our daily stress and historical trauma can create longstanding tension in our bodies that steal energy and cause pain. When we build physical and psychological strength that we rely on through movement and mindfulness instead, our bodies can release tension and we can reconnect with our softer selves. These softer selves help us to open to life’s wonder and lovely moments that sustain us in the demands of daily life.

This session we will explore the relationship between body armouring and strength - and how when we are tense and contracted habitually we don't have access to our "softer selves". We will look at how both gentle movement and strengthening can rebalance this relationship. As usual you can expect meditation, breathwork, strengthening and softening movement.

In person classes are full in Camrose, but please join us live Wednesday mornings 1030-1145am starting January 24. There will be no class Tuesday February 14, 2024. 13 weeks of classes - $230 GST included. You get to keep each weekly recording for 30 days and can do them as often as you’d like.

Why We Started

The origins of Pam’s offerings started in childhood at the time she was first able to perceive her own and other’s suffering. Perplexed by the meaning of life and why suffering was so rampant she spent her youth contemplating how to respond to it. Finally in her liberal arts undergrad her questioning was cradled in the centuries old traditions of philosophy, psychology and sociology. From there she branched out into various contemplative traditions such as yoga, Jungian psychology, mysticism and many others.

Over the last two decades she has been distilling what she’s learned into what she believes are some of the most helpful approaches to meeting the suffering inherent in human existence that she was alerted to so long ago.
