I had a lovely conversation today with one of my favourite people. We talked about healing and what it can really look like.

For her, right now, it looks like permission.
Permission to be herself.
Permission to make mistakes.
Permission to get back up and try again.

To me, this is love.
No judgment.
No negative self-talk.
Just softness.

Softness with the self isn’t always easy,
but it is always necessary for growth.

It’s funny how we grow together without even realizing it.
We are all secretly expanding quietly (or loudly)alone, and yet together. We are surrounded by the people who inspire us to keep going, even when we want to throw in the towel.
…And I’ve wanted to do that a lot lately.

But I am so very blessed.
Blessed to have the kind of people in my life
with whom I can grow in the safety of each other’s presence, softly, and with purpose.

Do it afraid.
Sometimes the fear doesn’t melt away.
Sometimes courage isn’t calm, sometimes it trembles.
But each time we move while afraid,
we strengthen the Gallbladder’s resolve,
and whisper to the Kidneys: “You are safe to live.”

Action, even the smallest step,
creates warmth where fear had frozen.
The Qi begins to flow again.
And in that flow, faith is born.

To give is to love. This path of service fills me in ways words just can’t explain. If there’s irony in giving quietly, in bowing to the sacred within each act, then may I dwell in that stillness for as long as I am needed.

Pain isn’t just about what shows up on a scan.
We’re not machines with replaceable parts you guys, we’re conscious beings with nervous systems, emotions, beliefs, and histories.

Taoism teaches us to see beyond the surface.
Structure isn’t the whole story. Form is only one piece of the puzzle…

If you’re in pain, it doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It means your system is asking for support,
more safety, more movement, more coherence, more flow.

Your body is adaptable.
Your nervous system is changeable.
Your pain is valid,
and workable.
