🧸 Teddy Bear Picnic – January 30th 🧸

We’re excited to announce that January 30th will be our Teddy Bear Picnic Day! Children are invited to bring their favourite teddy bear or stuffed friend to daycare for a day filled with cozy fun, imaginative play, and special picnic activities.

We’ll be incorporating stories, music, and themed activities to make the day extra memorable. Please remember to label all stuffies and choose one that can comfortably spend the day at daycare.

We can’t wait to picnic with our teddy bear friends!

STEM Learning in Our OSC & Kindergarten Program 🔬⚙️

Our OSC and Kindergarten groups have been diving into hands-on STEM science by exploring how technology works. We recently asked for broken technology to safely take apart and investigate—and we received some fantastic donations!

The children are developing problem-solving skills, curiosity, and early engineering thinking as they examine components, ask questions, and discover how everyday technology is put together.

If you have any broken or non-working technology at home (phones, keyboards, small electronics, etc.) that you are willing to donate for exploration, we would be happy to accept it. Your contributions help support meaningful, hands-on learning experiences.

🎉 It’s Official — Pro-D Days Just Got Cozier! 🎉

The votes are in, and the decision is unanimous: Professional Development days are now PJ Days!

From here on out, whenever there’s a Pro-D day, children are welcome to come dressed in their comfiest pajamas. Cozy clothes, relaxed vibes, and a calm, fun atmosphere make these days extra special for everyone.

Our first week back was full of sensory and discovery fun for all ages.

The children explored hands-on activities that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and learning through play. From sensory materials to open-ended exploration, it was wonderful to see everyone settling back in, engaging with their environment, and enjoying time with friends.

We are looking forward to a great year ahead filled with growth, learning, and many more moments of discovery.

With this beautiful weather, we are taking full advantage of being outside after school while we can. Fresh air, movement, and outdoor play are such an important part of our kinder and OSC afternoons.

Please remember to send appropriate outdoor clothing, and if possible, spare clothes as well. Extra snacks are also greatly appreciated—our kiddos are building strong minds, growing like crazy, and working up some very big appetites after school.

Thank you for helping us keep everyone comfortable, happy, and ready to enjoy the outdoors.

We’re back—and we couldn’t be more excited!

Our doors are open, our hearts are full, and we are so happy to be reunited with all of our amazing friends. We’ve missed the laughter, the learning, and the little moments that make our days so special.

We can’t wait to jump back into routines, play, and fun-filled days together. Thank you to our families for your continued support—we’re so excited for what’s ahead!

As tomorrow marks our final day of care before the holiday break, we would like to wish all of our current families—and those who will be joining us soon—a safe, warm, and joyful holiday season.

We sincerely thank you for being part of our Camrose Kids Daycare and OSC community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back when we return on January 5th.
