Joanne graduated in 2000 with honours from a three-year, 2200 hour massage therapy program in Ontario. She has a diverse clientele, including the National Para-Nordic Ski Team, which she has travelled with internationally for several years, including the Paralympics, in Sochi, Russia. Before practicing massage, Joanne studied and worked as a medical laboratory technician in Ontario and the Bow Val

ley. She gained valuable patient care and safety awareness working at various health institutions, including the Ottawa University AIDS Research Lab, Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, microbiology and hematology departments. She customizes each treatment therapeutically based on her client's needs, using various approaches such as *deep tissue*, *sports massage*, trigger point therapy, myofascial cupping, Kinesio taping, and is a Certified Low-Intensity Laser Therapist. Encouraging her clients to remain active whenever possible, she provides exercises that promote flexibility, mobility and strength. When needed, she will instruct deep diaphragmatic breathing techniques, which have many health benefits. Joanne believes that thinking consistent, positive thoughts of well-being is an essential approach to manifesting holistic health. On a personal note, she enjoys skiing, biking, yoga and fly-fishing. Also, listening to podcasts or 70's rock while baking up a sourdough storm.

When a client appreciates your treatments, they take you fishing! I have the BEST clients! Thank you, Curtis, for a fantastic day of guiding with endless entertainment! I learned a lot and landed way more fish compared to last year. The best part is watching rainbow trout jump up to 10 feet out of the water when you tie into them. The laser sure came in handy after that day!
