✨Who supports you in your practice of discerning what is not yours to carry and what is yours to tend?

For me, I’ve been prioritizing points of connection, in real time… talking with my soul family, prioritizing counselling with my therapist, leaning into places and spaces where I can authentically me, talking with kin & practicing yoga, off my mat & with community 💗

Discernment is a lifelong practice & we need not go it alone.

We are so grateful for and all of the care she offers this world… it was also her birthday last week! Here’s a message from Kelsey 🪄

“With the winter season encouraging rest, I’ve found myself trying to balance outdoor adventures with long periods of chill time in between. My dog provides me with a good reason to go outside, and my yoga mat beckons me to slow down, breathe, and connect back to myself.

I’m now enjoying the slow return of the morning sun and looking forward to the first sips of spring.”

a special reminder from the wonderful Zabie 🪄 I am a firm believer that repetition, ritual, routine, predictability, and consistency can soothe and support us when we are struggling with a dysregulated nervous system. The evidence lies in the rituals of comfort you lean on in your own life, like your favorite playlist on repeat, that yoga sequence you always seem to go back to, the comfort show or movie you watch during hard times, that comfortable cozy sweater, the mug you always reach for, your favorite book that you pick back up every year, that yummy breakfast that makes your heart happy, or the soul-nourishing rituals you start and end your day with.

They might seem simple and mundane, but these sacred rhythms are actually strengthening your neural pathways (neurons that send signals from one part of the brain to another) and offering you safety, control, and predictability when you need it most. According to Northwestern Medicine, predictable routines and rituals help ease anxiety, improve sleep, bring a sense of calm to the brain and body, reduce stress, and support emotional well-being and better mental health outcomes.

May we never underestimate the simplicity of these gifts to support the resilience and regulation of our nervous systems. When everything becomes too much, come back to the comforts that you know. 🤍
