Heritage Community Fitness Healthy People | Healthy Communities We believe healthy people create healthy communities. What does “integrative health” mean to us? Your health is our care.

Heritage Community Fitness is a locally owned Carleton Place integrative health facility that combines a state-of-the-art fitness centre, group fitness classes, and physical rehabilitation services under one roof. It’s a new approach that formed through the belief that good health is a combination of factors – one that includes both fitness and rehabilitation. Fitness
We opened our fitness centre in 2007 to create an environment that encourages people of all abilities to take an active role in nurturing good health. Our 22,000-square-foot fitness centre includes cardio equipment, a full inventory of free weights and strength-training equipment, fitness accessories, and group fitness classes. We have something for everyone. Rehabilitation
Our Collaborative Care Centre has evolved since opening in 2014 to include 14 health care specialties. These health care services include chiropractic, concussion management, counselling, exercise rehabilitation, naturopathy, nutritional services, physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy, pelvic floor therapy, prenatal massage therapy, registered massage therapy, and TMJ therapy. Our practitioners collaborate to ensure clients receive the best care possible. You’ll often see our team with clients in our fitness centre creating rehabilitation plans to support sustainable recovery. We are the largest integrative health facility in Ontario to offer this combination of complementary services. You can also find us at:

We get asked this question a lot in relation to aerial yoga: Is the hammock strong enough to hold me❓

The answer is yes✅

Our hammocks are certified to hold up to 1,000 pounds and secured to the ceiling using an advanced suspension system designed specifically for aerial yoga.

If you're curious about aerial yoga, come try it for yourself. Hammocks are available for Stefanie's class on Friday, February 13.

No aerial yoga -- or even yoga -- experience is required for this workshop. All levels are welcome, and Stefanie will offer modifications to support your individual needs.

Rick Boisvert leads his Hips & Glutes workshop on Monday, February 16 (Family Day) at 11:00 a.m.

This 90-minute workshop focuses on improving the mobility, stability, and strength of hips and glutes.

Locomotion and athletic training can be greatly improved by enhancing these capacities, and risk of injury can be reduced.

After a warm-up, you’ll be introduced to soft-tissue techniques designed to help relieve tightness in the lower body that can contribute to pain and restricted movement. The session then progresses into mobility and activation work, followed by stability and strength exercises.

This session is suitable for all fitness levels for those without current injuries that severely restrict movement.

The cost of the workshop is $25. Members and clients of our Collaborative Care Centre receive a 10% discount.

Register at our front desk, by phone, through our mobile app, or online: https://clients.mindbodyonline.com/classic/ws?studioid=899787&stype=-109&sView=day&sLoc=0&sTrn=100000116&date=02/16/26

It is recommended that participants bring a notebook and pen to take notes for future use.

Join a team that values your work.

Registered massage therapists (RMTs) are an essential part of the integrative health care services at our Collaborative Care Centre. Too often, RMTs are expected to juggle client care with the demands of running a business.

Here, we do things differently.

We respect the vital role RMTs play in supporting health and healing, which is why we handle the administrative details—scheduling, billing, laundry, and room setup—so you can focus on your clients.

Join a collaborative, patient-focused environment where your work is valued, your schedule is supported, and your contribution truly matters.

You'll enjoy the benefits of:

✅ flexible shifts
✅ a beautiful, fully furnished treatment room
✅ a supportive, team-based atmosphere

If you’re an RMT who wants to be part of a team that treats you like the health professional you are, we’d love to hear from you.

🔥 We’re offering a signing bonus to the successful candidate! Learn more at https://www.heritagefitness.ca/careers/

We did it! 🎉

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we exceeded our 2025 fundraising goals:

✨ 1,213 lbs of food collected for the Lanark County Food Bank-The Hunger Stop (goal: 700 lbs)

✨ $5,202 raised for the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation (goal: $5,000)

These efforts directly impact neighbours, friends, and families in our region. This was truly a community effort, and we’re grateful for every contribution.

We had to delay the January 15 start of our Fit Club for Girls program due to the winter storm. The program starts this Thursday, January 22.

There is space for two more girls who want to build confidence, stay active, and set aside their digital devices for an hour each week.

More details below 👇

Fit Club for Girls starts this Thursday!

Our winter Fit Club for Girls program runs on Thursdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., January 15 through March 5.

Designed for girls ages 9 to 12 and led by Kerry McCormick, this eight-week interactive program combines games and active play with conversations about general health, nutrition, mind/body awareness, and body image.

Class size is limited to encourage interaction within the group, but we do still have space for a couple more girls to join us. Register at our front desk, by phone at 613-253-2112, with our mobile app, or online.
