Our tea selection outgrew its old location and had to be moved to accommodate so many new tea varieties. From Blue Sunshine Mood tea to Bingo Blueberry our new organic bulk teas are sure to please. We now have more medical herbs & roots, new functional teas and an increased matcha selection. We're basically a tea store inside a health food store! Stop by for a sample anytime - kettle's always on! 🌿☕🌸

Greetings to my Granary and Downtown Carleton Place friends. It’s been awhile! Many of you already know but some may be wondering where the heck I’ve been.

In late November I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I had a successful radical hysterectomy in January to remove a significant tumour that had been the culprit for much pain and fatigue over the past year.

Now that my pathology report has come back, we know that some lymph node and nerve involvement was present. In light of these findings and the aggressive nature of my specific type of cancer, I will be starting chemo and radiation therapy in less than two weeks.

This has been a huge learning curve and undertaking to prepare my body and mind for the road ahead. That said, I miss my routine and connections at The Granary deeply. It is my hope that treatment will clear up all remaining cancer cells and that I will be back to business as usual by summer.
An update from Ash...

Thank you to everyone who has already reached out for your kindness and support. Going through something like this is never easy but it sure helps knowing how have so many great people rooting for me.

If you’ve read this far and you have a cervix, please make sure you book your Screening test. Never ignore symptoms and if something doesn’t seem right- advocate for answers. Some Perimenopause symptoms can be mistaken for cervical cancer. Test is best!
