As we look back on the past Christmas season and welcome the New Year, our hearts are full of gratitude and warm memories.

This holiday season was filled with laughter, cozy conversations, festive decorations, and the simple joy of spending time together. For the first time in many years, we celebrated New Year’s Eve with a special dinner, followed by a lively party, board games, and a delicious late supper. A heartfelt thank you to Bonnie for organizing this wonderful evening, and to our kitchen team for serving and dedicating their time to make it so special.

This past Saturday, January 3rd, we also enjoyed a larger Saturday Brunch — another first in many, many years — and what a lovely one it was!

Tomorrow, January 6th, we will be wrapping up our festive season with a traditional Ukrainian Christmas Eve Dinner. Please join us for a special menu featuring cabbage rolls (holubtsi), perogies, farmer sausage, and pies for dessert. We will also be treated to very special entertainment by the band 'Mosaic', featuring Ukrainian *and not only* carols, polkas, and old-time favourites.

As we step into the New Year, we look forward to new moments, new friendships, and many more reasons to smile. May this year bring good health, comfort, and happiness to everyone who calls our residence home.

🎄✨ Christmas is coming to Meadowood! ✨🎄
We’re looking forward to gathering with our Meadowood community on Monday, December 8th, for our annual Meadowood Christmas Party.
It’s always a special evening where we share a special holiday meal, enjoy music together, and simply appreciate each other’s company.

Dinner will begin at 5:00 PM, and afterward we’ll be treated to familiar favourites performed by the local band NOSTALGIA.

Our Chef Cook Calyne will be preparing a traditional Christmas meal — roast turkey with stuffing and gravy, meatballs, mashed potatoes, vegetables, fresh rolls, salads, and a sweet finish with Christmas pudding and dainties.

Tickets are $23.00, with sign-up available in advance.

We’re grateful for the chance to celebrate the season alongside our Meadowood community and look forward to a warm, festive evening together✨

We had a lovely celebration of our November Birthdays of the Month today at Meadowood!
We gathered for warm conversations, smiles, and, of course, delicious pineapple upside-down cakes lovingly prepared and served by Calyne and Jodi. 🍍🎂

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the afternoon special.

Please note: next month’s Birthday Celebration will be held on Tuesday, December 30th, due to the overlap with Boxing Day.
We’ll be celebrating along with Coffee Time, starting at 10:00 AM! 💛

🍽 This was also our first music event catered by our new Chef, Calyne, and her meals were very well received. We’re excited for many more delicious evenings ahead.

⚾ World Series Fun at Meadowood! ⚾

Our tenants had a blast watching all the World Series games together, starting with the 1st game on October 24, 2025! From cheering for their favourite teams to chatting and laughing. Lots of fun, friends, and baseball vibes.

🎃 Halloween 2025 at Meadowood – A Spooktacular Night! 🎃

We had an amazing turnout — about 135 costumed trick‑and‑treaters of all sizes visited us. It was also one of the most well-attended Halloween parties ever among our tenants! 👻

A huge thank you to Sylvia Bray for her fantastic job organizing the treats collection, and thanks to all the Meadowood residents who donated treats and helped make the evening so fun. We truly enjoyed watching the kids while enjoying the delicious pizza, hot chocolate, and cookies that kept everyone smiling.

This Remembrance Day, we pause to honour and remember the brave men and women who served our country with courage and dedication.

Reminder: The Remembrance Day Service in our community will take place today, November 11, at Carman Community Hall.
Doors open at 10:00 AM with the service beginning at 10:45 AM.

Let us come together to reflect and pay our respects.
