Fireweed infusion for our soothing Fireweed & Cinnamon Lotion Balm has begun! Available in September, while quantities last.

Fireweed has been studied and is beneficial for cuts, burns, rashes, acne, reducing redness, eczema and psoriasis due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Traditionally, it is also a valuable food, healing tea, fire lighting material, waterproofing for mittens, cordage and effective medicine, being used internally for coughs, headaches, digestive conditions including diarrhea, stomach, and intestinal inflammation. Externally it is used the mashed up root for boils, infections and abceses, the leaves were plastered on bruises.

This amazing plant is a healing gem and we harvest it with great gratitude! 💜

There’s a beautiful peace that accompanies me as I lovingly lotion my body- it comes from knowing I am rubbing natural skin food on my body- coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax. They were meant for this. My body easily absorbs these. They combine naturally and beautifully with my skin to soothe, soften, and moisturize it. A match designed perfectly by the creator. Enhanced by the calendula petals I have infused into the lotion balm. Living in harmony with all nature provides for us -toxin-free and healthfully, as our ancestors have done for eons 🤍

Simple things, more love, more joy, more peace. That is what we all need 🤍

Our Story

Beautiful Basic Organic Skin Care & Natural Wellness Goods. Finely handcrafted artisan organic soap and skin care, joyously crafted with skin-soothing beneficial wild herbs from our 80 acre Tanglewood farm near Caroline, AB, Canada.

Tanglewood's founder and joyous soapstress, Shantel Cooke, began handcrafting soap 5 years ago in an effort to keep her then 12 yr old daughter as toxin free as possible while she holistically healed from bone cancer. As her beautiful Nan recovered, Tanglewood Garden & Farm organic soap and skin care blossomed! Our family run business is now honoured and delighted to share wellness with others!

Tanglewood Garden & Farm’s gorgeous collection includes skin nourishing, toxin-free artisan bar soaps, lotion balms, all-purpose liquid soaps, botanical deodorant, exfolaiting body scrubs, herbal balms and ointments, lemongrass laundry soap, and amazing lip balms! As well as nourishing herbal teas and healthful elixirs.
