We would like to take this opportunity to offer our sincerest congratulations to firefighter Riley Nancarrow and the Central Collegiate Institute senior boys for their remarkable triumph in the 4A provincial volleyball championship, capturing the prestigious gold medal. As well as the Vanier Collegiate senior boys for their commendable achievement in winning the bronze medal. The competition was electrifying to watch and the sportsmanship exhibited was exemplary. Age is a dedicated member of our team! It is rare that he ever misses training. He is a mentor to new members and is quick to share knowledge or expertise both on scene and in practice.
Age manages to do all this and be a great dad to 4 busy and adorable littles!

With the weather changing this is something everyone needs to be ready for

🚨Public Notice🚨

We need your help and cooperation!

During a call last night, one of our firefighters performing traffic control narrowly missed being struck by a vehicle.

- We know there are lots of distractions at an accident scene
- We know all of the lights are bright and blinding
- We know it is hard for drivers to see us
- We know having to wait or take a detour is frustrating

We try to address this:

- By erecting big, reflective signs
- By wearing additional reflective clothing
- By turning down/off lights as much as we can
- by using reflective, handheld signs and lighted batons
- By trying to get traffic moving as quickly as we can

We can only do so much, so we count on YOUR cooperation to help keep US safe.

- We need you to pay attention
- We need you to slow down
- We need you to stop when directed to
- We need you to be looking/watching for us

We need you to have our backs so we can do our job safely and effectively.

Next time you approach an emergency scene, please keep these points in mind so everyone can be safe.

Some of our members attended the remembrance service in Moose Jaw today with family members. We remember the ones that gave the most so we can have our freedom.
