Week of April 20th-26th

Page of Cups Reversed

Page of Cups but in this deck appears as the Princess of Cups. The Princess is a young and sensitive person waiting for her one true love. She is naive, wishful and full of fancy. Whether she is in a relationship or not its time to take off the rose colored glasses and see her love interest for who they truly are rather than who she wishes them to be. Sometimes when we take off those glasses it shows us our true colour's as well and how we have contributed to the situation you are in. Sensitivity can be a good thing as long as it doesn't turn you or your partner into a martyr in the relationship.

This young maiden sits with optimism in the garden. She looks out with all the hope she can muster while she waits for her lover to join her. Does she wait a few minutes or a few hours? While the time goes by she must look at her situation with a more unemotional view point. She can't be the only one putting effort into the relationship. Detached from the rest of the world and too caught up in one single part of her life she waits when she could be putting her time and effort into other people and have her time and effort reciprocate.

Week of April 13th-19th

Two of Cups

One of the biggest parts of life is to share this journey with others. Yes we are in the driver's seat and have to make our own choices but life is meant to be share with those we love, friends, family and chosen family. When we find these special people who just get us in a way that we never thought possible is one if the great gifts in life. This week its time to connect with people you have a bond with. To tell them how thankful you are to have them in your life and reconfirm that relationship. If someone has been on your mind lately now is the time to get together.

Two lovers share a moment just for themselves. They took the time out of their busy schedules to shout from the mountain top about their love. They choose to do this away from the city and busy streets. Because when they found the quite they could take the time to truly listen, share their feelings and strength the ties that pulled them together. In a world full if chaos these two took the time to slow down and find the balance they needed to be there for each other.

Week of April 6th-12th

The Star

We have used the stars for navigation and they are so important to use when we are lost. The stars are always there shinning in the dark. So even though we have to go through the dark we know we will be fine because of their guidance. When the star comes up it is a reminder to be thankful for our spirituality and the messages we recieve from our mentors who have passed over to the other side. They too will help us through those dark times. But now is a time to celebrate those connections we have to the universe and beyond.

This lady takes a midnight dip in the lake and when she looks up she is fascinated by the stars. She takes a moment to give thanks to them for always being there when she needed them. She stops her midnight excursion to contemplate them and to find a connection she had forgotten she had with them and the spirits they represent.

Week of March 29th- April 5th

King of Cups

The mighty King has a level head and his emotions in check. He has learned that preaching to others hasn't worked well and to set the best example is to get in the mess with other and to lead by example. This calm and measured example he put forward was not something he was born with. It took trial and error to find the way he wanted to rule and now that he has found it others flock to him for his wisdom and his peaceful approach.

This Crow sits on his throne but not to elevate himself from others, his throne is not on a dais. He does not even wear his crown fully on his head as he doesn't want to intimidate others. He wears a rose quarts pendant signifying he offers love to each person who come and seeks advice. The background shows how easily the ocean can stir things up in a storm just like emotions can within ourselves but the King sits before it showing his strength in not getting swept away in the storm or emotions instead he sits in front of if which gives him a different view that he can reflect on them and how to heal and move beyond them.

Week of March 23rd-29th

Six of Cups Reversed

Adulthood is hard. Who thought when we were young how much responsibilities we'd have as we got older. Bills to pay, food to cook, and work can all pile onto us. So in times if stress we tend to look in the past of our youth and think of fond times where our biggest worry was if a certain someone wanted to be our friend. Looking back fondly in our past and childhood can be nostalgic but when we do it too often and find we are getting stuck in these memories it causes discontent in our present. Now is your chance to start to grow and let the past stay where it is as circumstances have changed and you are no longer that young kid with little world experience.

A young kitten sits in its bowl after dumping its food out while its mother eats peacefully in the background. The young kitten may have a different way of looking at life while the mother doesn't let outside influences to stray her from the task at hand. Both cats have a different approach but the one who has lived longer and gained more life experience completes it with an ease that the youth doesn't. Youthful energy has a time and place in adulthood but this week knowing the journey its taken us to get here gives us a safety net we needed from within ourselves.

Week of March 16th-22nd

The King of Wands Reveresed

Everyone in their day to day lives have leadership in it. Whether you are the leader or you are the one being lead, we all have to deal with the stress and demands we are either putting on others or having put on us. Even the leaders themselves have pressures we don't see. This card is here to remind you that to be the just ruler you want to be you will only find progress by not being taxing or rigorous. Finding that way to direct but not take over and trusting your people is key. If you are the one receiving these directions be aware of how you take in the information. Authority might feel oppressive but in actuality they are only asking for you to do the job you are there to do. This week you may feel they are asking you to do more than what you think is fair. Check in with your ego and see if your aim is correct.

Kings love to enter your lives to teach. They want to see you succeed, learn and grow. But sometimes they come on a little strong and the work feels strenuous. When this happens we have to examine if we feel this way because they truly are being demanding or if we have a problem with someone else coming in and taking over. Maybe your energies don't align, or you feel spoken down to. The fact is the King just wants to see you accomplish this while finding fulfillment. A King will only come to you if they see the potential of you becoming victorious.

Week of March 9th-15th

The Emperor

We all have masculine and feminine energy and this week its time to embrace our masculinity by being a person of authority. When the Emperor shows up it bring out our true leadership skills. Its time to show how effective and efficient you are by trail blazing a path for yourself and others. You get to show others what you want and how to get it, just be aware you aren't being too forceful. You still need to be adaptive towards others as a good leader doesn't rule with an iron fist. A true leader rules fairly and see the needs for themselves as well as their own.

This man shows his confidence and has no fear. He stands before the ruins of his ancestors and gathers strength and wisdom in his new endeavor. He know others have come before him and others will come after him but if he wants to leave a positive mark like the ones he looks up to from the past then he needs to learn how to be a strong but just ruler. There is a balance when you hold some power and learning it isn't something that happens overnight.

Week of March 2nd-8th

Four of Penacles

Let's face it, we all get attached to materialistic things, or we feel we have to keep up with appearances and need to have what others have. But if we hold on too hard sometimes we miss out on what the world has to offer in other areas. If were stuck grinding every day to get further ahead than we were yesterday all for making a few dollars more than our world becomes small. We actually already have what we need in life but we become greedy for more. When this happens we end up missing out more in life than if we had gone without the bigger paychecks or owning the newest device out there.

Did this man come by this sack of money honestly? Or did he take what was rightfully someone else's. His scheming looks like it paid off but now that the job is over what has this man really gain? Yes he has money but when you look he's in the woods alone and has no trust for anyone but himself. If he'd just give this act a break and found a more honest way of life the money would be less but he'd have a higher quality of life because he would be working on a team rather than as an individual. When he works alone he rely solely on himself, but if he worked with others he has a chance to learn from them and also share his knowledge as well.
