She includes modalities like myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, gentle craniosacral therapy, and much more!

Welcoming Rachel Fournier to the team. Rachel is a new Massage therapy graduate and is offering Pre-Registered Massage Therapy.

Here is her biography:
Rachel is a recent graduate of the 2024, 3000-hour Registered Massage Therapy program in Nelson, BC. She is currently awaiting her registration!
Rachel has a plethora of experience in the massage industry, including almost 500-hours of supervised clinic experience. She also had the pleasure of offering massage at the world-renowned Mountain Trek Resort in Ainsworth, BC for the spring and summer season of 2024. As well, Rachel received her Yoga Teaching Certification in the fall of 2021. All of these environments allowed her skills as a manual therapist, health practitioner, and space holder to expand greatly. They also allowed her to interact with a wide variety of individuals in the health industry, and to understand what "holistic health" really means (hint: it's a little bit different for everyone). Rachel is a big advocate of person-centred care. This means working together with a client in regards to their goals, something that encourages the practice of clear communication, educated encouragement, and top-quality, knowledgable care. Rachel's clients can feel like they she is on their team, and has their best interests in mind. Her natural skills as a space holder, cheerleader, and listener meet her crafted skills in the realm of manual therapy with great ease. She aims to create a safe, grounded, and inclusive environment in which individualized, experienced care can be received. Rachel is dedicated to honouring each individual just as they are. With a deep passion for holistic healing and extensive experience in retreats and spas, Carmen provides personalized massage tailored to your unique needs. Dedicated to helping you achieve your health and wellness goals, Carmen creates a welcoming space for you to unwind, release stress, and focus on self-care.

Trained in various modalities, from deep tissue to light touch techniques, each session is crafted to promote relaxation, presence, and reduced body tension. Carmen is a recent graduate of the rigorous 3000-hour RMT program at Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences and is preparing for her RMT licensing exam in September 2024. Until then, she offers sessions at a reduced rate and is not yet billable to extended health plans.

Outside of her practice, Carmen embraces an active lifestyle and enjoys climbing, hiking, skiing, mountaineering, yoga, swimming, and dancing within her vibrant community.

Starting March 17th, there will be exciting new offerings available at Spectrum Treatment Centre!

Carissa Alexander is joining the team as a massage specialist and yoga therapist. Carissa is trained as a 2200 hour Alberta massage therapist and 1000 hour yoga therapist, bringing over half a decade of experience in holistic wellness. She has a passion for integrating the different aspects of her training, and approaches healing through the lens of the whole person and their body-mind. She looks forward to working within the community, supporting individuals in achieving their therapeutic goals.

As a graduate of an Alberta massage program, Carissa is awaiting her RMT licensing exam and will be offering pre-registered massage at a reduced rate, alongside 1:1 therapeutic yoga:

Jenny’s focus is person-centered care, working closely with the client on their goals to ensure professional excellence in responsible care and serving the best interests of the client.

With years of post-secondary education and experience as a registered nurse, Michelle witnessed the struggles that patients face with chronic pain and illness. This inspired her to transition to manual therapy, where she focuses on proactive health and wellness. Michelle's approach includes gently mobilizes joints, muscles, fascia, organs, and cranial membranes to alleviate pain and restrictions, while promoting overall well-being.
