Befriending the Inner Critic: A Path to Self-Compassion
Join us for the second offering in our Trusting Self workshop series, where we explore how to build deeper self-trust and move toward self-acceptance through reflection, embodiment, and presence.
In this 90-minute experiential session, we’ll explore the inner critic—the part of us that judges, shames, or pushes us to achieve more, be better, or hide our true selves. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and compassion-based practices, we’ll learn to meet this part not with resistance, but with curiosity and care.
This workshop includes:
Guided somatic and breath practices
Education on the inner critic from an IFS perspective
Journaling and reflection prompts
Sound healing, essential oils, and optional hands-on support
Facilitated discussion and space for integration
Together, we’ll explore:
What is my inner critic trying to protect me from?
What happens when I listen to it with compassion rather than fear?
Can I hold space for both the part that critiques—and the part that longs to be free?
