🤜Marine Push-up💪

This exercise literally builds strength from the ground up. It is one of our favourites for many reasons.🙌

It’s the great equaliser and it doesn’t matter how big or small you are, it stops short or shallow reps.❌

👉This variation hits the posterior chain (the back muscle) and helps correct poor posture (Kyphosis).

👉The hardest part of any push up is when your chest is one inch off the ground. By having your chest and legs touch the ground at each rep, you are building strength from your weakest point.

⚠️Modify by performing the movement from your knees. Be sure your chest and legs come up off the ground at the same time. Use your core and glute to maintain a rigid body position, and push up hard.

👊Move from motivated to self-driven🙏

We are having many conversations with prospects and one of the questions we ask them is: what’s your biggest challenge in achieving xyz right now?😵‍💫😲

Often, the response is ‘lack of motivation’.🤦🏻‍♀️😬

I totally get that; trying to be healthy when you're lacking motivation is a real challenge and that’s something everyone should be working on…😇

👉While this is definitely a problem and we have been working with 100s of others in a similar situation… you need to find a deep enough reason ‘why’ you need to be doing this. As in having a compelling vision.🤔 And putting your health first, above all else.🤗

It's only then all challenges and barriers become irrelevant allowing you to take massive action towards your goals.🙏This is where the ✨magic✨ happens, putting in the work when you may not feel like doing it.🔥

💥You need to move from motivated to self driven.💥

🌈Motivation comes and goes. If you don't have it and you just wait until you feel like doing it, you could be waiting a very long time.😴

“I’ll just wait till after Christmas to start my new fitness regime”.

😮😬🤪😳 aka now…

This is an excuse just to overindulge. I get it… it’s nice to take your foot off the pedal and just unwind with family and friends.
..But do we really feel better after we overindulge during the holidays?😑

Sitting at the dinner table after the Christmas turkey, sinking it down with a few wines and don’t forget the pudding.🥧🥂
..Or worse the 3:30pm nap, feeling so full, it’s impossible to get off the couch.😴

And just to fill you in… I’m talking from experience here!🤫

However, I actually believe you can enjoy your Christmas without having to unbuckle, still eat the turkey, drink the wines, have a slice of pudding and enjoy it all guilt-free.😋

It’s just a matter of planning it out, having a vision of what you want 2022 to look like and holding yourself to account. Most are too lazy to do so, therefore taking the easy option to overindulge. If you don’t set yourself any boundaries...I mean why not?👀

In saying that, it’s kinda reckless.😒

Someone who puts on 1-2kg over the Christmas period suggests something in their lifestyle is broken. In order for them to reclaim their health and get their metabolism firing again, starting after Christmas is just making it harder; and here we are now!

This is an easy HIIT set to complete at home. We show you 2️⃣ variations:

▪️Variation 1 is at a moderate intensity, great for beginners to intermediate.

▪️Variation 2 is low intensity, it’s been modified for pregnant women or beginners, just starting out.

👉Are you unable to lose any weight no matter what you do? You’ve tried everything, diets, shakes, medications, bootcamp and crazy workouts.🙀 You see everyone else doing the same thing and losing kilos every single week. It’s not fair. Why is your body so different to everybody else?😪

👉If you do manage to lose a few pounds, the weight always rebounds immediately after one or two bad meals.😣 What’s the point of trying if you can’t enjoy or indulge in any social situation? You live life feeling guilty about choices that are normal for everybody else.😤

👉You’ve got no energy, you’re always fatigued, your brain may not function properly. It affects your performance at work, you keep forgetting things, if only you could operate more efficiently.😑 You’d be able to give so much more to life. You’d be able to achieve anything.

👉When you don’t see results, it’s so easy to lose motivation. It re-starts a vicious cycle of emotional eating, binge eating, anxiety and depression.😵‍💫These feelings all skyrocket as you move further away from your goals. You feel nervous all the time, you never seem to be able to dig yourself out of that hole. It’s a roller-coaster of yo-yo'ing, your weight is never stable..😥

👉Craving food is standard, but sometimes you just lose control. Needing something sweet then something salty.🥤🍫🍟🍕 Emotional eating, binge eating, you have a severely negative relationship with food. Why is it that no one else seems to battle this same war? It’s not fair. It’s not you, it’s something intense and physical coming from inside.

👉You don’t have energy for the kids, family or work. Life just isn’t like it used to be. All you want is to be normal, be like every other woman.💔 No one understands you. You say you’re tired and exhausted, but you get the feeling everyone thinks you’re lazy and it really hurts. You feel alone.❤️‍🩹

👉Waking up in the morning follows a similar routine. You look in the mirror and think; is today a skinny day or a fat day?🤯 Unfortunately, you feel like it’s been a fat day forever, and today is no different. You jump on the scale, you ate really well yesterday expecting something, any loss at all. For some reason the scale says you’ve gained a pound. What was the point of eating well yesterday? When you’re offered a desert at lunch time, you help yourself to a double portion.🧁👉Hello vicious cycle👋
