Our journey along the Via Spluga was nothing short of epic — a path through time, mountains, and a whole lot of elevation. We kicked things off in Thusis (720m), winding our way 17.5km to the quiet charm of Andeer (978m). From there, the trail steepened as we climbed 14km to the alpine village of Splügen (1457m), where cobblestone streets and crisp mountain air greeted us.

We took a “rest day” — which in our world meant a 12km hike up to the Suretta Lakes (2272m), shimmering like something out of a dream. The next day came the real test: the Splügen Pass (2117m), our high point before descending 17.5km into Isola (1251m), legs wobbling but spirits high.

The grand finale? A relentless 19.5km drop into Chiavenna (327m), trading alpine heights for Italian charm. One trail, two countries, and a thousand moments we’ll never forget.
