Good Morning Families of ABH,

As many of you are aware the guidelines surrounding the Partner in Care have changed to now allow up to 3 designated partners in care. This change will be implemented effective immediately.

The same format will follow to apply to be a partner in care. You may either call the facility at 902-566-5975 or apply online by visiting www.atlanticbaptist.wixsite.com/visitation

Only One visitor per resident at a time will be permitted into the facility.

The Partner in Care must abide by all infection control protocols established by the facility, including frequent hand hygiene, social distancing and masking.

NEW INFORMATION
- Partners in care who work in a LTC facility should be tested weekly.

- A Resident may leave the facility accompanied by the partner in care for a limited time period when granted a pass as part of their program of care. The resident may leave the car while accompanied by their partner in care as long as they have limited exposure to others, such as in a park or a private home.

- Residents may be permitted to have an overnight stay accompanied by a partner in care, as long as masking and other infection control measures are followed.

These passes must be approved by the facility physician and administrator.

To All Families of Atlantic Baptist Home:

We would like to express our gratitude for your support, understanding and trust during these challenging days. We are mindful that the guidelines surrounding visitation procedures are ever changing as Chief Public Health makes decisions about the health and safety of island residents. As these directives change Atlantic Baptist continues to make adjustments to ensure we are providing care with resident safety at the forefront.

We are working diligently to operationalize these changes and we will have more information in the upcoming days.

Management

07/06/2020

To All Families of Atlantic Baptist Home,

We regret to inform you that all visits (indoor and outdoor) will be suspended temporarily with the news of 5 new cases of COVID19 on Prince Edward Island. One of these new cases is a staff member of a Long Term Care Facility ; the staff member does not work at Atlantic Baptist and there has been no risk of transmission to our residents.

With the suspension of visitation we will continue to provide skype calls, and window visits which can be scheduled with the activity department.

Our visitation protocols will be re-evaluated as new information is provided by the Chief Public Health Office, and Dr. Morrison.

We understand that this new information and change in protocol is difficult and concerning; rest assured that the staff at Atlantic Baptist continue to follow stringent screening measures, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, and use good hand hygiene practices. Our utmost concern is the well being of the residents and staff of Atlantic Baptist.

If you have any questions and concerns, please reach out to us by emailing visitation@abschi.com
