If you are relying on your willpower, you’ve already lost

When it comes to fat loss and body composition changes we think we need to try harder or work harder, more discipline, more consistent, more perfect 👌🏼

And yes, there is an element of consistency and healthy habits that are required but in order to see progress and changes our bodies we do not need 100% consistency and perfection.

In reality we need 80% consistency longterm.

If you’ve been struggling to stay consistent over the weekends or longer than a few weeks, you don’t need more willpower, don’t dig deeper and try harder.

Instead reevaluate the strategy you have in place, because what you are doing is clearly not working!

Struggling with the all or nothing mentality? Add in a sweet treat or a pizza night during the week instead of saving all the fun for the weekend.

Allow “fun foods” into your macros or meal plans so you aren’t thinking of them as bad or off limits

As long as you are showing up consistently 80% of the time with your workouts, your nutrition, your sleep and self care - you win every time!

What is possible for you 👏🏼🔥✨

The beauty and power of body recomposition: burning fat & building lean muscle / strength 💪🏼

The phases of a successful body recomposition:

1️⃣ A health or prep phase - this is dependent on the client and there past/starting position. The goal is to build healthy foundational habits before even thinking about dieting or body recomping. Set yourself up for success!

2️⃣ Reverse Diet (if needed) - building up your food, bringing down stress, lifting heavy and boosting your metabolism so that your cutting phase will work for you not against you!

3️⃣ Cutting phase - when we slowly drop your food and or increase movement putting you in a slight deficit in order to drive fat loss while preserving as much muscle as possible

4️⃣ Recalibration or new maintenance phase - where we reverse the process by slowing reverse dieting you back up to your new maintenance cals! DO NOT skip this step this is where so much of the rebounding and regaining happens.

I know this challenges everything we were taught as women 😤

Growing up I thought eating as little as possible was the way to get to goal, lose weight and be skinny.

But as I’ve learned more about the female body I realized that eating less will only get you so far and most likely won’t get you the body you have be dreaming of

And even if it does make you skinner it comes at the expense on your longterm health

When we don’t eat very much we don’t only lose fat you lose muscle which can be very detrimental longterm

We also lose energy, mental focus, sleep and sometimes our female cycle!

I know for me and I’m sure if you’ve been on this journey you agree that the “skinny” label is not worth these health sacrifices

The good news there is another way, a way that preserves your health, your muscle and your metabolism!

It’s not just eating less but eating the right foods in the right amounts for your body and your goals!

Lack of consistency & knowledge is

Skipping breakfast and trying to work off your belly fat will never be the longterm solution, why?

👉🏻Metabolic Adaptation: the less you eat and the less muscle you have (from over exercising) the less your body burns aka making it harder and harder for you to lose fat

👊🏻 The solution eat adequate protein (1g per 1lb of body weight) and calories for your body (you can discover this with an online BMR calculator + activity level) train in away that elicits muscle growth and don’t over stress your body. Get enough sleep, mange your stress and don’t over exercise.

“I’ve tried everything but nothing seems to work!”

But have you tried tracking your progress long enough to see a change?

This is the biggest problem I see as a coach. You are trying to make a change but you aren’t actually tracking your progress to see if it’s working or not

Or you might be tracking your progress but you aren’t consistent for a long enough duration to see the results.

Without tracking you are relaying on subjective opinion on your body (or anything) you are basing your results on your emotions and that is only going to get you so far

Because there will be days you want to give up. Days you don’t want to show up. Days you want to throw in the towel. Days you think you are broken and it can never be you.

That’s not true, but it won’t happen if you are depending on how you are feeling or how you are seeing your results.

Track it and have an outside perspective guide you = success baby🔥

Which one ☝🏼 have you googled?

Listen, I totally get it! I’ve been there too wondering what the heck to do and what information to trust.

And what I’ve found over the years with information changing monthly and new diets coming out every year is this - the basics will always win 🥇

That is why I keep coming back to Macros because you can get an understanding of what your body needs, get educated on what your food is made of, stop demonizing foods and find a sustainable balance that works for you in any phase of life!

Remember this is not a quick fix but a lifestyle ✨

- I would not slash calories without consideration
- I would not just start working out more
- I would not go carnivore, keto or other restrictive elimination
- I would not wish for it without taking action
- I would not feel sorry for myself when I know ive not put in the work required
- I would not follow some insta models FDOE because they look great (guess what theve been doing the above formula and even though they dont track now they probably did at some point or have genetics that you just dont have, sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️

Remember sustainable weight loss is 1lb a week (on average) so we are looking at a minimum of 10 weeks if you aren’t committed for at least that long this is not the time for you and you simply are not in the place to prioritize it
