When you acknowledge and openly discuss positive aspects of your partner and your marriage, your bond is strengthened. We know that the more we focus on the positive and what we are thankful for, the more we feel positive and thankful. The more we focus on negativity and disappointment, the more negative we will feel. This is basically that same principle applied. If we can shift our mindsets to focus more on what we appreciate about our partner we will begin to notice more things we appreciate about them, building our positive perspective and strengthening our bond.
