20 years! And what an amazing 20 years it's been.
When we first opened our doors, we didn't know exactly where our path would take us. But as time went on, it became clear that our purpose was to help women who were struggling with addiction and incarceration.
It's been 20 years of hearing their stories, encouraging them on their journeys, and cheering them on as they take steps toward better lives. We are so blessed to do this work and we are grateful for everyone who has supported us along the way.
Open Door has grown over the years, including our newest affiliate, Men’s Chaplaincy PEI, but the heart of our mission has remained the same: to believe in those who are marginalized when they cannot believe in themselves.
To every single person who has joined our team, prayed for us, donated to our fundraisers, helped organize events, and encouraged us: THANK YOU. Because of you, our community is a better place.
And to everyone who has worked with us through our programs in the jail: we are proud of you, we believe in you, and our door is always open for you ♥️
