The police operation in Urbainville has ended. PEI RCMP thank the public for the care and attention during this incident. All roads are reopened.

Saturday August 9, 2025 1:30 a.m.
PEI RCMP are actively investigating what is believed to be a targeted incident of shots fired in the Urbainville area of Prince County. Police believe this to be an isolated incident and therefore it does not meet the criteria for an Alert Ready message. An increased police presence remains in the area and there continue to be road closures. Detours are in place. Updates on PEI RCMP social media.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Prince District RCMP by calling 902-853-9300 or 902-436-9300. To remain anonymous, call PEI Crime Stoppers, toll-free, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

POLICE OPERATION

PEI RCMP are engaged in a police operation in the Urbainville area of Prince County. Several police vehicles are present and RCMP are asking the public to avoid this area. Routes 124 (Wellington Rd.) and Route 125 (Hacmatack Rd.) are closed to all traffic. Dept. of Transportation and Wellington Fire Services have detours in place. Updates on PEI RCMP social media.
