Our Story
The Root Cellar has been in business since 1972. It was purchased in 1999 by Naturopathic Doctor Kali Simmonds and her husband Pat Morris. The store carries a large variety of products including organic groceries, gluten-free products, over 75 bulk herbs & spices, bulk organic flours and grains, high quality raw nuts and seeds (we are one of the only places that refrigerate our nuts and seeds), dried fruit, fair trade organic coffee, truly natural bodycare products and cosmetics, home cleaning products, numerous supplement lines, homeopathics, herbal remedies, books and magazines. The store has a warm, earthy atmosphere, as you would expect from an authentic healthfood store, yet it is up to date with current trends and meets today's convenience requirements.
