National Breastfeeding Week is October 1-7!

In honour of Canadian Breastfeeding Week, we’re sharing 5 things you may not have known about La Leche League Canada. This week, we’ll highlight the unique ways LLLC continues to make a difference.

Did you know La Leche League Canada has been supporting families for 64 years? Since 1961, we’ve grown into a national nonprofit, walking alongside families through every stage of their feeding journey.

We’ve seen generations of mommas, babies, and parents find encouragement, information, and community through LLLC.

Happy National Breastfeeding Week!
One initiative the PEI Breastfeeding Coalition is working on is helping make public spaces more breastfeeding, chestfeeding and human milk-feeding more welcoming. We would like to hear from you about your babyfeeding experiences in public spaces and what could make things better.
We have a focus group, in-person, next week, Tuesday, October 1st, 1:30PM, at CHANCES in Charlottetown. Register at

Today! Celebrating the start of National Breastfeeding Week (October 1-7)!

We’re so very pleased to announce that Chris Ortenburger - PEI’s wonderful La Leche League leader - will be joining us next Wednesday October 1 for our first ‘Lunch and Learn’ breastfeeding support meet up! 🤱🏻

We’ll be serving a light lunch - sandwiches, snacks and tea - while chatting about the beautiful, yet often challenging journey of breastfeeding.

This offering - lunch included - is totally FREE - and Everyone is welcome!

For those who are expecting, newly breastfeeding or weaning - all of your questions are welcome here!

And babies are most welcome too 👶🏼😍
