SSHWI’s Board of Directors is saddened by the passing of Elmer MacDonald. Elmer was a founding member or our organization and served six years on our board. Without his passion, perseverance, and dedication to community primary care in the South Shore area would not be where it is today. Our sincere condolences to his family. Rest in peace, Elmer ♥️

To show our appreciation for the healthcare workers at the Crapaud clinic and pharmacy, SSHWI held a family fun day this past weekend. Staff and their family members were able to curl, skate and enjoy each other’s company while having a coffee and muffin. Lunch was also provided.

Thank you to the staff at the Crapaud Curling Club and South Shore Actiplex for being so accommodating, and to the Province of PEI for supporting this event. Most importantly, thank you to all the clinic and pharmacy staff – we hope you all had a great time and we are truly grateful for the dedication you show every day in providing healthcare to our community.

Annual General Meeting

I would like to correct an oversight on my part during the meeting when retiring Board members were acknowledged and thanked for their service.

Heather Dixon has served on the Board for 6 years, and during that period has contributed significantly to the return of primary health care to the South Shore community.
