You may not realize it, but some common habits might be harming your eyes.

- Rubbing your eyes can introduce bacteria, cause irritation, or even scratch the surface of your eye.

- Skipping sunglasses exposes your eyes to harmful UV rays, even on cloudy days, which can increase your risk of developing cataracts and macular degeneration.

- Even too much screen time can cause eye strain and discomfort.

1. Sit up straight - Keep both eyes equidistant from your screen/book
2. Angle your reading - Prop materials up vs. flat on table
3. Good lighting - Use direct light on reading material
4. Keep distance - Not too close! Move it back a few inches
5. Multiple screens? - Keep them at similar distances
