This , we honour the sacrifices of those who served, including the many physicians who have answered the call in times of war and peace. From the World Wars to modern-day conflicts, Canadian doctors have served in field hospitals, combat zones, and peacekeeping missions, providing life-saving care under extreme conditions.

Today, military physicians continue to serve on the front lines of both active combat and humanitarian missions worldwide.

Let us remember not only those who fought for our freedom, but also the health care professionals who risk their lives to save others.

Lest we forget.
