We are so incredibly happy to welcome Dr. Kristen MacIntyre to our team.

Dr. Kristen MacIntyre originally from Sydney, Nova Scotia, discovered PEI to be a home away from home while attending the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI). She earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Kinesiology from UPEI in 2020, and later completed her Doctor of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.

Her interest in Optometry began during her time on the UPEI Women’s Hockey Team, when she started wearing contact lenses for sports. This experience sparked her curiosity about eye care, which she explored further by working two summers at her local clinic. There, she assisted with pre-tests and discovered a genuine passion for the field.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. MacIntyre enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, playing hockey, and traveling.
