What a beautiful holiday season we had at The Mount! From Santa’s visits on Christmas morning and festive activities throughout the season, to heartfelt cards and messages from the community, our residents were surrounded by joy, kindness, and connection. 🎄✨🎅

At this time, we would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone in the community who supported our 2025 Resident Gift Drive. Because of you, every resident felt remembered and celebrated on Christmas morning.
A very special thank you to:

❤️The amazing volunteers who helped wrap gifts in Santa’s Workshop

💪🏻Synergy Fitness, for once again allowing us to take over and transform the Bear Pit into Santa’s Workshop

🎶Spring Park Choir and their music teacher, Karri, for leading our carolling at this year’s Tree Lighting

🧦QEH Volunteer Services for once again providing mini stockings (many of them handmade!) to help us deliver festive treats to residents and staff on Christmas

🎁SpryPoint, who organized and donated gifts as part of their corporate Christmas party

😇Kasey M. and Lawtons, for once again including the Mount in their Angel Tree campaign

💜Grant Thornton for organizing an “Angel Tree” among their staff to sponsor resident gifts

🧼Delta Prince Edward for lovely Christmas cards for residents and donated toiletries

✍️Holland College staff and students for the beautiful, heartfelt notes and cards– and shoutout to Emma for coordinating this project across all their campuses!

💌 United Way, Alignment Dance Studios, Red Shores, and the UPEI Women’s rugby team for delivering cards and holiday cheer

💝The OBGYN Clinic, PEI Mutual, and Jack R.’s hockey team for their generous donations to the gift drive

🎄The UPEI International Relations Office for stopping in to help our residents deck the halls and trim the trees with their Japanese exchange students

🎅🏼Santa, for once again helping us ring in the holiday season at our Tree Lighting!

Help us choose the winners of this year’s door decorating contest! 🚪🏆

Throughout the month of December, our residents, families, and staff have been getting creative (and competitive!), and our halls have now been thoroughly decked.🎄✨🎀

We have quite the variety of entries: whether classic or crafty, wacky or welcoming, sentimental or stylish… or all of the above. The care and effort that was put into each door’s decor is apparent— which makes this decision very hard!

We have two competition categories: Resident Doors and Staff/Department Doors. Browse through and “like” the photo of your favourite from each! 🗳

Whichever door in each category has the most in-house and online votes by the end of Christmas Day will receive a special treat. 👏🏼

🚨UPDATE: As per the City of Charlottetown’s decision to postpone trick-or-treating due to weather, we will be moving our treat station to 5:30-7:30 on SATURDAY NOVEMBER 1st. We hope you can still make it! 🚨

When you're planning out your trick-or-treating route for Friday, don't forget to include a pit stop at The Mount... if you dare! 🎃👻

We will have a fully loaded treat station set up at our accessible main entrance, with residents eager to give out goodies and admire all the costumes. We can't wait to see you! 🍬🍫
