Years ago (12 to be exact!) in my first year of nursing school, one of my preceptors gave me advice that has stayed with me throughout my entire career:
That mindset became the foundation of how I practice nursing.
While aesthetics is often seen as beauty, this is still medicine. My practice is grounded in nursing principles, patient safety, ethics, and education first.
Itโs why I will always be honest with my patients. Why I will say no when something isnโt needed or I donโt feel itโs in someoneโs best interest. Why I focus on natural results and individualized treatment plans instead of trends or overdoing treatments.
I value the trust my patients place in me and never take that responsibility lightly. Building strong therapeutic relationships and providing safe, ethical, evidence based care will always be at the core of my practice.
At the end of the day, I approach every patient with the same level of care, honesty, and professionalism I would want for the people closest to me.
