Getting sore after a workout isn't the gold-standard for knowing you had a good workout. DOMS (delayed-onset muscle soreness) typically happens when: you're a new or returning lifter, you're trying new movements, or you've made a sudden, significant increase in load, volume, or intensity. Normal, iterative progressions in your routine will give you great results, but probably won't leave you sore. Don't chase the pain.

I had a session recently where both the client's pelvis and thoracic spine were rotated. The client felt they were connected, but didn't know which was causing which. I manually held her pelvis in proper alignment and we just waited a few moments. Slowly her thoracic spine started side-bending and rotating more and more. This demonstrated that the T spine was driving the pelvic rotation, drawing compensation from it. By disallowing the compensation, the T spine got temporarily worse.
