✨️CONGRATULATIONS ✨️

We, at Journeys Recovery Home, are so proud of Samuel Sheardown and all the hard work he has put in over the last 6 months. Samuel is a new believer, just starting his walk with God, and it’s been incredible to watch him take these first steps of faith with courage and humility.

This is where the importance of discipleship shines. None of us are meant to walk this road alone. Jesus showed us the power of walking together, encouraging one another, and growing in His Word side by side. Samuel has opened his heart to learning, and the fruit is already beginning to show. 🌱

As Proverbs reminds us:
"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." (Proverbs 27:17)

And Jesus Himself commanded us:
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19–20)

Samuel, we celebrate with you as you take these first steps in Christ and we honour all those who have sown into your life from detox to discipleship.

Keep pressing forward, brother, your life is a reminder that every journey begins with a single step of faith, and God will be faithful to complete the work He has started in you (Philippians 1:6). ✝️

Let us all be encouraged today as we see the fruits of discipleship take root in this young man.

We want to thank Lenny LaBarbera for coming down this week and alocating a couple of days to sow into the men at Journeys Recovery Home. Your time, encouragement, and the powerful testimony you shared of God’s power, mercy, and grace at work in your life has left a lasting impact.

The Word reminds us:

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, contributed, and shared boldly on the mic. We are so grateful for the opportunity to have Journeys Recovery Home be a part of such a powerful evening.

🔥🎉 It’s that time again! 🎉🔥

We’re so excited to invite you to Journeys Recovery Home’s 2nd Annual BBQ happening Saturday, August 2nd at Kingston Park!

Last year was such a blast — amazing food, laughs, sunshine, and most importantly, incredible support from all of you. We’re beyond grateful for the love we received and we’re hoping for an even bigger and better turnout this year.

🍔 BBQ is from 11AM to 3PM
🎟️ Tickets are $15 at the door (kids under 12 are FREE)
📍 Kingston Park- St. Claire St and Paxton Dr, Chatham

💥 This year’s silent auction is packed thanks to the generosity of so many local people and businesses. From gift baskets to service packages and more, there’s something for everyone. The auction wraps up at 2PM, and we’ll be ending the day with a 50/50 raffle you won’t want to miss.

Whether you came last year or are thinking about it for the first time, come out, bring your friends and family, and enjoy an afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun in support of a cause that’s close to our hearts. 💛

We’d like to express our sincere thanks to Megan McGilvery for donating a Jeep to Journeys Recovery Home.

With the number of residents in our program growing, transportation has become a real need. Megan’s donation came at the perfect time and will make a big difference in helping us get the guys where they need to go.. appointments, work, meetings, and more.
